Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary discipline that closely combines engineering, life sciences and medicine. Pharmacy

The undergraduate major of pharmacy is set up as a pharmacy major. Through various teaching and practical activities, it takes four years to cultivate students with solid theoretical knowledge, strong practical and innovative abilities, and development potential. Pharmaceutical scientists are senior professionals engaged in teaching and management of pharmaceutical science, pharmaceutical technology, and pharmaceutical-related fields. Such senior talents will have strong drug discovery capabilities, drugability judgment capabilities and drug development capabilities to meet the country's large demand for senior talents in this field. The postgraduate training of the Department of Basic Medicine is based on the training of postgraduates majoring in biology. Since the establishment of the medical school, it has trained its own graduate students under the guidance of the biology graduate training program of the School of Life at Tsinghua University. In 2008, it published one national outstanding doctoral thesis. Since 2007, many young scholars have returned to China to join the Department of Basic Medicine, which has not only expanded the biological research direction of the Department of Basic Medicine, but also brought vitality to the young medical school. The research directions of PIs in the Department of Basic Medicine already include neuroscience, membrane proteins and major disease research, biochemistry and molecular biology.

Biomedical Engineering

The biomedical engineering major is one of the first batch of disciplines established in the country (established in 1979), and it is also one of the 19 national key first-level disciplines owned by our school. one. Two postgraduate courses in biomedical construction have won the title of "Tsinghua University Excellent Courses", and textbooks such as "Digital Signal Processing", "Medical Imaging System" and "Stochastic Signal Statistical Processing" have become recommended textbooks for postgraduate students.

Department of Pharmacy

The Department of Pharmacy of Tsinghua University was established in November 2012. The scientific research directions of PI include medicinal chemistry, tumor pharmacology, ion channel and pain pharmacology, and toxicology. , drug formulation and drug delivery, and other key areas in drug research and development. The long-term goal of the Department of Pharmacy is to cultivate talents for new drug research and development and to build a pharmaceutical research center in Tsinghua.
