Bobai County Academy was built in the early years of the Tang Dynasty. It was one of the earliest counties in Guangxi to establish a county school. In the 31st year of Guangxu (1906), Huanyu Academy was changed into a county higher primary school, which was the beginning of Bobai's establishment of a new school. Bobai County Junior High School was founded in the spring of the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924). In the 38th year of the Republic of China, Bobai County had 340 primary schools with 21,700 students, accounting for only about 30% of the total number of school-age children; there were 4 ordinary middle schools with 1,206 students (excluding private junior high schools); adults were illiterate. After liberation, the party and the people's government attached great importance to education and vigorously developed primary and secondary education. In 1965, Bobai County had 695 primary schools (including teaching sites) with 59,000 students and 2,283 staff; 9 middle schools with 4,063 students and 324 staff; preschool education, adult education, and professional education. In 1988, it was rated as an advanced county in national education; in 1989, it was designated as a national experimental county for comprehensive rural education reform by the State Education Commission; in 1990, it was rated as an advanced county in Guangxi for repairing dilapidated primary and secondary schools. In the same year, Bobai County had 336 primary schools, with 143,500 students enrolled at the end of the school year; 68 junior high schools, with 23,900 students; 9 senior high schools with 5,195 students; 1 vocational high school with 537 students; agriculture There are 2 junior high schools with 175 students; 1 normal school with 678 students; Bobai County has 11,100 teaching staff. In the 16th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1890), Huiyu Hall was established in the county, equipped with two Chinese medicine practitioners. In October of the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), Huiyu Hall was rebuilt into Bobai County Hospital, commonly known as "Medical Bureau" among the people. In July 1931, the county hospital was renamed Bobai County Health Center. In the same year, 32 townships in Bobai County had medical clinics. However, due to poor equipment, low technology, and expensive medical fees, only wealthy families can afford medical treatment. The general public lacks medical treatment and medicine. According to the 2012 "Guangxi Yearbook", 5,514 people were born in Bobai County in 1937. 5,102 people died; 2,187 people were born and 2,234 died in 1939; 3,966 people were born and 4,094 died in 1942. The health level of the people is low. In 1938, there was only one health center in Bobai County. 14 medical and health personnel. After liberation, the health work policy of "facing workers, peasants and soldiers, giving priority to prevention, uniting traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and integrating health work with mass movements" was implemented. Bobai County's medical and health undertakings developed rapidly. By the end of 1989, Bobai County had established 6 county-level medical and health institutions, 34 township health centers, 27 health centers (offices) in government agencies, schools, enterprises and institutions, 315 village health clinics, and 1,018 hospital beds in Bobai County. , has 1,416 employees, including 1,136 health technicians; the level of medical technology has improved rapidly.
