RankDecision (Nov. 19-Nov. 21)

The entire PGC2021 will kick off with a qualifying tournament that begins on Nov. 19, where 32 teams will be divided into four groups (see below for grouping) and will compete over three days of qualifying to earn a spot in the upcoming Midweek Survivor tournament. The qualifying rounds are based on a point system, where points are tallied for rankings and eliminations. The Qualifying Tournament*** runs for 3 days, with 6 matches per day. The top 16 in the Qualifying Tournament will directly participate in the first week's Midweek Survival Tournament, while 17-31 will participate in order of rankings, and 32nd place will not be eligible for the first week's Midweek Survival Tournament.

Midweek Survival Weekend Final Post 16 Qualifying (WeeklySeries:WeeklySurvivalWeeklyFinalBOTTOM16)

The qualifying rounds will be followed by a three-week weekly series. Each week, Tuesday through Thursday will be a mid-week survival tournament, which utilizes a chicken-eating format. The team that eats chicken in each round will advance directly to that week's weekly finals, and the 16 midweek survival matches will determine the 16 teams that will participate in the weekly finals. Since the teams that have already eaten chicken will not continue to participate in the mid-week tournament, the vacancies left by the first week's mid-week survival tournament will be filled by the 17th-31st ranked teams from the qualifying rounds, and the vacancies for the next two weeks' mid-week survival tournaments will be filled by the 17th-31st ranked teams from last week's bottom 16 qualifying rounds, in order of rankings.

The 16 advancing teams from the Midweek Survival Tournament will face off over the weekend in a 2-day*** 10-game weekly final, which utilizes a points-based tournament system and SUPER Points rules. Teams will play to earn points, which are critical to advancing to the Finals. In addition, the winner of each weekly weekly final will receive a straight through spot to the Grand Final.

Teams that do not advance to the Weekly Finals in the Midweek Survival Tournament will play a Bottom 16 qualifying match on the Monday of the week afterward, with five games*** counting to determine positional alternates for the following week's Midweek Survival Tournament.

The GrandSurvival Qualifying BattleThe GrandFinal

At the end of the three-week weekly series, the 12 teams in the GrandFinal will be decided directly between the winner of each week's Weekly Final and the top nine teams in the overall Weekly Final standings. The last place team in the weekly final standings will be eliminated from the competition. The remaining 19 teams will compete in the Grand Final Qualification Battle on December 16th, the day before the Grand Final, to select the last 4 seats. The Finals Qualifying Match consists of 4 matches in a chicken-eating format, with the winning team from each match advancing to the Finals. The remaining teams that fail to advance to the Finals will be ranked based on their accumulated points from each weekend's finals.

Qualifying Groups and PCL Team Preview

The qualifying groups were drawn on Nov. 8, with Liquid, BRU, and GBL in Group A. NH and KX are in Group B, with Faze, ATA, and old rivals Gen. The other two PCL teams, Team 17 and MCG, are in Group D, along with SQ, Oath and TSM.

The five teams in the PCL are all doing well this year, with PeRo leading the way by winning the PCS4 and PCS5 titles. The PeRo team will continue to play in the PGC World Championship with the same lineup that won the PCS5 title. The PGC format is also tailored to PeRo's combat prowess, and it will be interesting to see if PeRo's top guns Aixleft and Myl, the king of foreigners, will be able to continue their success!

The MCG team, which finished second in the East Asia Region, has shown a good level of competitiveness in recent training matches, and its stable play and tenacious ability to survive have given the MCG team a certain advantage in the points system. The team's four players have been ****ing together for more than a year, and I believe that they will be able to give a wonderful performance in the PGC.

Team 17 is also one of the oldest teams in the PCL, and after experiencing a staff change last year, Team 17 has gradually grown and found its form in this year's tournaments. With two PCS trips, 17 has gained a lot of experience, their playing style has become more calm and cautious, and their captain, Shou, is also getting better and better this year. In the qualifying rounds, they are placed in Group D with defending champions SQ, and the two teams are bound to start a "double-P battle" in the early rounds, which is also a major point of interest in the qualifying rounds.

The NH team has shown terrific fighting ability in the PCL Summer Season, but the "Battleship of the Galaxy," as they are called, failed to deliver the results people expected in PCS5. In the PGC, the NH team will have to make a name for themselves, and we are looking forward to seeing if they can reproduce their unstoppable fighting ability!

The KX team has not participated in the PCS5 competition, but with their excellent performance in PCS4, KX team has not participated in the PCS5 competition, but with their excellent performance in PCS4, KX team has been prepared for the PGC!
