Zhengzhou Institute of Science and Technology (ZZIST) is a provincial undergraduate general college and university located at No. 100, Middle Changjiang Road, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. Its predecessor was Henan Engineering School established in 1956, which was upgraded to an undergraduate general college in 2003 and renamed Zhengzhou College of Science and Technology. The campus now covers an area of more than 1,400 acres, with a building area of 720,000 square meters, a good environment on campus, and relatively well-equipped facilities.
According to the 2023 China University Rankings (Undergraduate), Zhengzhou Institute of Science and Technology is ranked 936th in China and 32nd in Henan Province, and its comprehensive strength is at the middle level among the universities in Henan Province.
Zhengzhou Institute of Science and Technology has five disciplines, namely, engineering, science, management, literature and education, of which three disciplines, namely, engineering, management and education, have entered the ranks of key construction disciplines with high level characteristics in Henan Province. At present, it has 21 undergraduate majors, covering engineering, science, management, literature, law, medicine and other fields. The college emphasizes on the quality of teaching and the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality, and provides students with a number of rich extracurricular activities and practical opportunities.
