In order to learn English, he will write English words on the wall, sleep on the memory, can not remember to light up the lamp to look at and then remember. 1975 summer, he graduated from high school to go home to work in the farm, but he did not relax to study, during the day with the people out of the collective work, the night to study to the next day in the early hours of the morning, sleepy towel dipped in a little bit of cold water on the face. Two years later, he became a substitute teacher.
In the summer of 1978, Tan Qianqiu was admitted to Hunan University. 1982, graduated from the university, took the initiative to enroll in the Sichuan Dongfang Turbine Factory Workers' University as a "border" teacher.
