What are some of the ways you save money on top tips in your regular life?

The ultimate money-saving trick - creativity!

There are countless ways to teach people to save money on the Internet, such as discount coupons, various e-commerce activity days, or activities to stock up in large quantities. All of these are great and all of them are fine.

But essentially, these solutions still have us pulling small amounts of money out of our pockets. It's just that it's gone from taking a little more out of our pockets to taking a little less out of our pockets.

Have you ever thought about solving your problems and fulfilling your needs without spending money?

Eh eh eh, I didn't say it was written in the Penal Code as a method.

Actually, this is something that really isn't that hard to do if you just open your mind and use your imagination and creativity!

If you don't believe me, let me tell you about two real things that happened to me.

Incident #1: I wanted an elevated desk!

During last winter, I often felt sick to my stomach, often caused by eating indigestible food and not being able to control my appetite.

But I also needed to sit at my desk to study something I was interested in during my downtime after meals, but it was extremely uncomfortable to sit at.

I was thinking that I should probably read and work standing up so that I could get things done and at the same time relieve my stomach of its constant fussiness.

How do you work standing up? --Lifting desk!

This answer was immediately the first thing that came to mind. I didn't hesitate to open a certain orange shopping software to check the price of the lift desk, and I have to say, it scared me.

I originally thought that lifting the small desk, the structure is not complex, the material is wood + a small amount of steel or iron can be, the price should not be expensive. I did not expect the fact that the average price of 200-300 dollars.

A certain software price

Honestly, this price is not unacceptable, but I take into account that the lifting table of the very low frequency of use, and in the case of non-use, will be very occupied space.

It can't help but make me rethink whether I can really only buy a lift desk to solve my problem.

Event 2: I want a removable curtain!

It's no coincidence that, also last summer, when I was reading a book, it was too bright in front of my desk, and if I drew all the curtains, the room would be too dark again.

If only the bottom half of this curtain was removable. This would only block half of the light, ensuring that it is not blinding, while at the same time providing brightness and avoiding a lack of brightness in the room.

This request just came to my mind, at the same time the solution that came to my mind is that the lower part of the adhesive curtains inside the shopping apps that I have seen.

I was thinking how convenient it would be for me to purchase one of these curtains.

But then I turned around and thought, I'll buy it, mail it, and it's just a lot of days. And then I'd have to go through the trouble of installing them myself. Maybe after one set of processes, I'll realize that I can't use the curtains at all anymore.

(A friend behind me told me that she bought removable curtains in the summer, and by the time the order was placed, shipped, and painstakingly assembled, it was too late in the fall and winter to use them.)

Is there a solution other than spending?

Is there any way to solve my problem immediately, promptly, right away?

I looked around and suddenly saw iron clips for drying clothes - inspiration struck!

Why would I want to go farther than that?

Actually, my need was simple: I just needed the curtains to be half the length they were before, so all I had to do was to use a rack, fold half of the curtains, and then use the clips to hold them in place, right?

And this thing took less than 1 minute. And even when I didn't need it, I just removed the clips and then everything got restored.

I didn't just save time and get my needs solved in a timely and immediate manner. It also saved money, as well as not adding extra more items to the room, taking up my space, as well as not having to spend more time organizing and cleaning.

Back to my first need, the elevated desk!

I wanted nothing more than to work standing up, and enough height + an office platform was the core requirement.

I looked around the room and thought for a moment, I took a wooden stool that was tall enough to be placed on my desk, and then placed my drawing board, which was large enough, on top of the four-legged wooden stool - a simple standing desk was complete!

Results

It accomplished what I needed successfully - a standing desk!

And it immediately accomplished my need to not have to stand and wait for a long delivery, because it's a low-frequency item, and when I don't need it, I can restore both of them, and it doesn't take up any extra space at all, and at the same time, not having to consume it, solves my problem just the same.

Reflection: why is consumption our first option?

After experiencing these two events, I couldn't help but be inspired to think and reflect on my daily life.

Living in this day and age, we have become accustomed to the idea that every problem can be solved quickly and professionally by spending money on tools.

Any problem, no less.

Highly industrialized + consumer era, everything you can think of, can't think of, is constantly being created by someone.

We are no longer the same as people before the industrialized era, all the problems of life, need to do it yourself.

The advances in technology and productivity have made a large number of industrialized products affordable to the general public, which has greatly improved the quality of our lives, and no longer requires people to think or do everything themselves.

But at the same time, the convenience of the consumer world has also changed the way we think, we think along the inertia, that all problems can be solved by money.

We often talk about a consumer society, where business and capital keep creating all kinds of demand for us, pushing us to consume and spend money.

So do we reflect, in this environment, whether we are in the problem, but also be unconsciously hit on the "all the problems with the money to solve is the most convenient and quick!

Isn't this also somehow binding us to the consumerist wave of our time? Making us, as tiny individuals of this age, together the consumer age?

But is consumption really the quickest, easiest, most convenient, and most cost-effective solution to all of life's problems?

When we take a step back and think outside the box, can we find some more creative, fun, convenient and flexible solutions to our problems?

In the case of the two things I've experienced, I think creative ways to solve my problems might be quicker and easier than consuming, and without having to create more consumption.

Taking a step back and reflecting on life is perhaps the only way we can have clarity when we see the problems in us.
