Hello! I was in April 2011 to April 2012 in the Harbin Medical University Affiliated Hospital No. 1 urology two off-duty training and learning for a year, now the end of training, I would like to report to the hospital leadership of a year of learning and training.
During my training in urology, I studied under Professor Ni Shaobin, the chief of urology in Heilongjiang Province, and there are 9 doctors in the department***: 2 postdoctoral fellows, 3 PhDs, 3 doctoral students, and 1 master's degree. The department is equipped with advanced equipments such as holmium laser, 1.8 micron continuous laser, percutaneous nephroscope, flexible and rigid ureteroscopy and cystoscopy. It is mainly engaged in the treatment of urinary stones, urinary tumors and adrenal tumors. At present, the leading ones in the province are percutaneous nephrolithotomy with holmium laser, ureteroscopy with holmium laser, laparoscopic resection of retroperitoneal mass and kidney transplantation. During my fellowship, I was actively involved in the extensive clinical use of cystoscopy, including bladder tumor review, implantation and removal of DJ tubes, and extensive clinical census of cystoscopy. Through the study, I recognize the important role of cystoscopy in clinical work, and I will strengthen the utilization of cystoscopy in my future work; through this study, it makes me realize the serious harm and complexity of urinary stones as well as the difficulty of the treatment, urinary stones, due to the different sizes, locations, and composition of the stones, can cause serious damage to the function of human kidneys or even renal inactivity and uremia. There is also its good recurrence characteristics, these have become the focus of the current treatment and difficulties. Daxinganling area also belongs to the good incidence of urinary stones, I focus on the study of percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy treatment of urolithiasis in terms of indications, contraindications. Under the guidance and help of Prof. Ni Shaobin, I learned and understood the operation of ureteroscopy, and was able to complete simple ureteroscopic surgery independently. Familiarize and understand the surgical method of percutaneous nephrolithotomy. During the study period, he also visited and learned about the knowledge and operation of pneumatic
pressure ballistic lithotripsy. As a result, we have gained a full understanding of the various common techniques currently used in the treatment of urolithiasis. The focus was on mastering the surgical method of ureteroscopy. I believe it will be of great help to our hospital in the future. Through the study I realized the prospect of the wide application of laparoscopic technology in the field of urology. I learned laparoscopic nephrectomy, laparoscopic adrenal tumor resection, laparoscopic ureterotomy and stone removal, and practiced my basic laparoscopic skills. In the future work, we will further strengthen the theoretical and practical training in this area. We will strive to carry out the application of laparoscopy in the field of urology in our hospital as soon as possible. In addition, we have gained a very full understanding and mastery in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence, standardized treatment of prostate cancer, open surgery for renal or adrenal tumors, ureteral osteotomy and stone removal, and standardized treatment of bladder tumors. These theoretical and practical aspects of the accumulation of my personal and hospital work in the future will play a great help, produce good economic and social benefits.
In short, a year of further study, I personally in the knowledge of theory, surgical operation, diagnosis and treatment concepts have been very big gains. In my future work, I will be committed to carry out ureterotomy and stone extraction, laparoscopic renal cyst decapitation and decompression, female stress urinary incontinence tension-free sling surgery, ureteroscopic holmium laser or pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy and other surgeries.
