I was scratched by the teeth of a puppy about a month old, and then broke the skin, I cut the skin off and then bled, do I need to be vaccinated?

Playing tetanus, as for the rabies vaccine, in fact, not so serious, look at the pathology to understand, my dog two months old also bit my, also bleeding

Rabies incubation period: any infectious disease by bacterial or viral infections, it takes a period of time before the onset of the incubation period of the person does not have any symptoms, this period of time is called incubation period.

The incubation period of rabies fluctuates the most, can be from 6 days, 12 days to 1 year or more than 5 years, generally 2 weeks to 3 months of the onset of the disease, 99% of the onset of the disease in 1 year, 1% in more than 1 year of the onset of the disease, but in fact, more than 1 year and a half has been very rare, by the examination of the longest latent period of 6 years, WHO has the actual verification of proof of the disease is the history of the two six-year period, the so-called very special in China! There is no conclusive evidence for the so-called exceptional ones in China, which are as long as 30 to 40 years.

1, when a person is bitten by a dog or cat, if the animal that bites the person is infected with rabies, in the bite saliva contains viruses that can infect the person, the animal will be in isolation and observation within 10 days of the onset of the disease, and even death. This is the researcher with a hundred and ten dogs and cats artificially infected with rabies virus of the actual observation, and in the field practice to prove it.

2, rabies-infected dogs and cats in the incubation period to the onset of disease (neurological symptoms) a few days before the contagious, isolation of biting dogs is assumed to be onset of disease. So it's not the entire incubation period that is quarantined, what reason do you have to quarantine it when it's not biting? And the vast majority of the days of the incubation period are also not contagious, only starting a few days before the onset of neurological symptoms. That's why World Health Organization (WHO) documents and public **** health regulations in most countries require that a dog or cat suspected of biting a person needs to be isolated and observed for 10 days, during which time the person bitten can either not or discontinue immunization prophylaxis if the animal doesn't develop and die. Animals generally begin to excrete poison in their saliva before neurologic symptoms appear, and it is only a few short days until death. Naturally infected dogs and cats with rabies have no virus in their saliva during the incubation period, and dogs usually have virus in their saliva 1-5 days before the onset of neurological symptoms; dogs that die quickly after the onset of symptoms have a lower concentration of the virus in their brain and saliva than those that live a little longer. Experimentally infected cats generally had salivary detoxification from 1-2 days before to 3 days after the onset of symptoms.

3, the World Health Organization Technical Report Series No. 931 2004 "WHO Expert Rabies Consultation," the first report, requires 10 days of observation of suspected biting dogs and cats. Some experts say that "the 10-day observation period is only suitable for non-infected areas" and therefore not for China. This argument is untenable, as this period is based on actual observation and experimentation. Rabies occurs mainly in developing countries, and WHO's policy on rabies is mainly aimed at these countries. The problem of rabies and stray dogs in Thailand is far more serious than in our country. A Thai veterinarian doctor specializing in rabies research said: 20 to 30 years ago there were also claims that healthy dogs carried the virus, healthy dogs were infected and dogs did not die when rabies occurred in people here, but later on, when the testing technology improved and the observation methods became more rigorous, these claims were no longer made. He has been doing research for more than 20 years, personally thousands of suspected biting dogs and cats for isolation and observation, the dog when the onset of death have statistics, after the death of virological testing. He says he has not found a human case where the dog did not die within 10 days.

4, if by their own or neighbor's healthy dogs and cats scratched and bitten, observation for 10 days, it is still healthy as usual, you can rest assured. Some people say he/she was contacted months or years ago, or scratched and bitten by a dog or cat, and that animal is fine later, then there is even less to worry about, and don't get vaccinated. If it is a stray dog or the dog that bit you ran away and you don't know what happened to the dog, go to the CDC immediately

1. Bitten by a warm-blooded animal, such as a dog (cat), that has symptoms of the disease or behaves abnormally in relation to healthy cats (dogs), go for a rabies shot as soon as possible after you've been bitten, and observe the cat (dog) that bit you, and if, within 10 days, that cat or dog hasn't died from the disease of rabies. You can terminate the rabies pre-vaccination, and it can be determined that you have not been infected with rabies at all.

2. Healthy dogs (cats, etc.) do not carry the virus. ("With" is the medical term, meaning "infectious", here "without" means that even if the dog or cat carries the rabies virus, before they do not have the disease, it is not infectious. The term "non-toxic" refers to the fact that even if dogs and cats carry the rabies virus, they are not infectious until they develop the disease.)

3. Rabies virus mechanism is the virus attacks the animal brain cells causing rabies attack, the animal will generally appear very obvious abnormalities, it is easy to recognize. At this time, the animal's saliva is poisonous (virus), with infectious, if bitten by such an animal must play rabies vaccine. (Please refer to Prof. Zu Shuxian's article for more information on how to determine if an animal is rabid.)

4. Dogs (cats), only rabid animals carry the virus. A warm-blooded animal that has already had a rabies attack bites a person, and it is only then that the rabies virus can be transmitted to the person through saliva, and that's when you need to take rabies pre-vaccination prophylaxis.

5. Given that dogs, cats and other warm-blooded animals in the rabies attack once the attack, 3 to 5 days within 100% death (there is literature that there is a rare is 8 days after the onset of death). So the only time a bite is dangerous is when it is contagious for a few days before it dies. Even if you are bitten, you don't have to worry if the dog (cat) doesn't die of rabies within 10 days, because the bite was not in the infectious period. (10 days is the World Health Organization deliberately extended the safety observation period) (This period was initially proposed by Dr. Thailand, note that Thailand is also a high incidence of rabies, but also an infected area)

6. Rabies has an incubation period, the World Health Organization through informative research, most of the 20 days to 2 months, the maximum period of 6 years, as for some of the examples of our country, the World Health Organization expressed doubts, the world does not find evidence of long-term incubation period, the World Health Organization has not found evidence of long-term incubation period. No evidence of long-term incubation has been found, and medical experts in infectious diseases and believe that there may be misdiagnosis or secondary exposure (medical terminology, being transmitted a second time.) (There is literature that says that if a person is bitten and has a seizure within 6 days, it must be the wrong dog, and there can never be a situation where the person dies and the dog does not.)

7. If you keep animals, or often in contact with animals, it is recommended to take three shots for pre-exposure prophylaxis, so that once you have been bitten, in the suspicion of rabies bites, you can get immunized directly with 2 shots.
