1, fire fighting in the air
When a fire breaks out in a city building, water or extinguishing agent is sprayed on the fire site through the fire bucket and fire water tank loaded by the fire helicopter, and the fire is directly extinguished or cooled in a short time, in coordination with the ground fire rescue forces; The fire monitor equipped on the helicopter is used to spray fire extinguishing agent directly into the building through windows and holes to reach the fire point.
2. Power transmission
Fire-fighting rescue personnel and fire-fighting rescue equipment are carried by fire-fighting helicopters. After arriving at the target building, fire-fighting rescue forces will be put into the fire site to carry out fire-fighting rescue operations through landing or cable throwing devices on the top floor of the helicopter, which can greatly save the time of fire-fighting rescue and the physical strength of rescuers, and is suitable for fire-fighting rescue sites where it is impossible to attack by taking fire elevators or climbing stairs.
3. Investigation and command
In the event of a large-scale fire accident, fire inspectors or commanders can use the helicopter image transmission to scout the whole fire scene, or directly take the helicopter to conduct on-site command of fire fighting and rescue tasks in the air, so that they can fully grasp the on-site information in real time, make correct judgments, reasonably call the ground fire fighting and rescue forces, improve the efficiency of fire fighting and rescue operations, and reduce unnecessary losses and casualties.
4. Medical assistance
By helicopter landing on the roof apron or electric winch, the trapped people on the top floor of high-rise buildings are evacuated and transferred, and medical staff and equipment are brought to treat the seriously injured quickly and timely, thus greatly improving the evacuation efficiency in the fire and improving the survival rate of the injured.
Fire extinguishing principle of fire helicopter
1, fire bucket extinguishing
The fire bucket mainly depends on the water storage bucket hanging at the lower part of the machine belly, and cooperates with the control box and water release switch on the machine to release fire water or fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire.
However, because the water spilled by the helicopter is blocked by the roof of the building, it cannot directly reach the indoor fire source, and once the bucket releases the load, it will have a certain impact on the flight stability of the aircraft. Therefore, fire buckets are generally used to put out forest fires or ground fires.
2. Built-in water tank for fire fighting
The fire extinguishing principle of the built-in water tank is similar to that of the fire bucket. The water storage tank is directly installed inside the machine body, and a water outlet is added at the lower part of the machine belly to extinguish the fire. Because the water storage tank is installed inside the helicopter, the aerodynamic performance of the helicopter will not be affected, and the fire fighting operation is safer and more stable.
However, because the water storage tank needs to occupy a large space in the body, it is mostly used in medium and heavy helicopters, which has certain limitations.
3. Fire fighting in fire monitor
Fire monitor uses generator, centrifugal pump, external water tank and other mechanisms to directly spray fire extinguishing water and solvent to the fire source to put out or control the fire. Generally, the gun body can be rotated back and forth by 90 degrees and downward by 45 degrees.
When putting out a fire, the pilot can control the gun body to put out the fire according to the position of the fire source without adjusting the angle of the helicopter, so the safety, maneuverability and flexibility are greatly enhanced, and it is the most suitable fire extinguishing method for urban buildings. However, because the gun body, generator, centrifugal pump and water tank are all installed outside the fuselage, it will also affect the aerodynamics of the helicopter to some extent.
