Introduction to the Ministry of Health's Health Emergency Response Plan for Nuclear and Radiation Accidents

The Health Emergency Response Plan for Nuclear and Radiation Accidents of the Ministry of Health is designed to carry out the health emergency response work for nuclear and radiation accidents in a prompt, effective and standardized manner, minimize the casualties and social impacts caused by the accidents, safeguard the public's physical health, and maintain social stability, in accordance with the "Emergency Response Law of the People's Republic of China", "Regulations on the Safety and Protection of Radioisotopes and Ray Devices Regulations", "Nuclear Power Plant Nuclear Accident Emergency Management Regulations", "National Emergency Medical and Health Rescue Emergency Response Plan for Public Emergencies", "National Nuclear Emergency Response Plan" and other relevant laws, regulations and normative documents and formulated, mainly applicable to the health sector to carry out health emergency response to nuclear and radiological accidents, the health sector to carry out other health emergency response to nuclear and radiological emergencies, with reference to the implementation of the plan.
