In recent years, the problem of China's continuous surplus in foreign trade has attracted the world's attention. In 2007, China's exports amounted to US$1,218 billion, an increase of 25.7% compared with the previous year, while imports amounted to US$955.8 billion, an increase of 20.8% compared with the previous year. Export tax rebates and processing trade policy adjustments and other factors, the export growth rate has fallen, the import growth rate than the previous year to improve, imports and export growth rate gap narrowed compared with the previous year. However, the growth of exports is still faster than imports.
