What does it mean to be an exempted person in Hong Kong

Waiver, also known as premium waiver, means that if the insured or policyholder meets the waiver criteria (diagnosis of mild, moderate, or severe illnesses covered by the contract or death) during the premium payment period specified in the insurance contract, the insurance company will waive the premiums that have to be paid for the next period of the policy, but the contract will still be in force.

For example, Wang bought a critical illness insurance policy when he was 30 years old and paid it off over 30 years, and the waiver of liability for the critical illness insurance policy covers minor, moderate and serious illnesses.

After 5 years, Wang triggers the exemption clause due to a diagnosis of a minor illness, and then he doesn't have to pay the premiums for the next 25 years, but he can continue to enjoy the coverage agreed in the contract.
