Qingdao Infectious Diseases Hospital and the Sixth People's Hospital of Qingdao, founded in 1906, has 400 beds, with more than 30 departments, such as Infection, Hepatology, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Combined Chinese and Western Medicine (CWM) Hepatology, Blood Purification Center, Dermatology and Venereal Diseases, and Medical and Technical Functions, etc. The TCM outpatient department has been designated as "National Medicine Model Outpatient Department" and "Public Green Healthcare Designated Institution". "The Chinese Medicine Outpatient Clinic has been recognized as "National Medicine Model Clinic" and "Public Green Medical Designated Institution", the Department of Combined Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine Hepatology has been recognized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a key specialty construction project in the 12th Five-Year Plan, and the Departments of Hepatology and Combined Traditional Chinese Medicine Hepatology have been recognized as the key disciplines of Qingdao's health care industry. The Department of Hepatology and the Department of Combined Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hepatology are both recognized as the key disciplines of Qingdao Health. The Infectious Disease Committee of Shandong Society of Integrative Medicine and the Infectious Diseases and Parasitic Diseases Branch of Qingdao Medical Association are affiliated to the hospital, which passed the expert evaluation of the demonstration unit of traditional Chinese medicine in the province's general hospitals (specialized hospitals) in 2011, and has been rated as the national clinical base of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, and is the largest and first-class level 3 infectious disease hospital in Shandong Province, with a combination of clinic, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care, and the infectious disease hospital of College of Medicine of Qingdao University. It is currently the largest and first-class clinical, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care integration tertiary infectious disease hospital in Shandong Province, Qingdao University School of Medicine infectious disease teaching and research laboratories, master's degree training sites, Qingdao City, medical insurance and commercial insurance hospital.
The hospital has more than 400 professional and technical personnel specializing in the clinical and research work of infectious diseases, and has gathered a group of famous experts and professors in the field of liver disease and infectious diseases. There are more than 60 senior professional and technical titles, 10 master's degree supervisors, including 3 master's degree supervisors specializing in the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicines, 5 PhDs and 75 master's degree holders, as well as a competent nursing team represented by Comrade Li Guimei, the first recipient of the "Nightingale" Medal in the province.
Medical equipment is advanced and constantly improved and updated. The Molecular Biology PCR Laboratory is one of the first clinical gene amplification laboratories in the province and the first one in Qingdao to be awarded the Certificate of Technical Acceptance by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. Protein electrophoresis, biochemistry OLYMPUS AU-2700, electrochemiluminescence Roche E601, chemiluminescence MAGLUMI 2000, flow cytometry, spiral CT, DR, ultrasound, liver fibrosis scanner and other advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment for the implementation of the new technology to provide a strong support force.
In May 2014, the hospital launched a new stomatology outpatient clinic, Chinese medicine outpatient clinic (mainly for the direction of rheumatism and immunity).
