Ben Carson, a gifted neurosurgeon, rises from pauper to head of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He takes on various challenges to save children's lives. This movie is a story of his humility and honesty, as well as an inspiring love story ......
First of all this movie is a very inspirational movie and a true story adaptation.
The episodes that impressed me:
1. The children were very naughty and not smart when they were very young and not good at studying. The mother then asked them to go to the library every day and read books on vacation.
2. After reading a lot of books, the children were always able to tell the correct answer in advance when they watched quiz TV programs.
3. At the child's elementary school graduation ceremony (or a recognition ceremony attended by the parents), the principal told the other children that the child was stupid, saying, "If such a stupid child can pass the exam, won't the other children feel ashamed" (something to that effect). The child's mother was very angry when she heard this and decided to save her money so that her child could go to a better private school and get a better education.
4. In a geography class, a child accurately named an ore through the teacher's description. And he was highly appreciated and supported by the teacher.
5. After graduating from high school, one of the children aspired to be a doctor and got into a famous medical university with excellent results. Due to his excellent grades and confident performance, he was recognized by a famous doctor at that time and followed him for further studies.
6. At the end of the movie, the doctor is in a wheelchair, being pushed by his wife through the corridors of the hospital, looking up at the portraits of famous doctors hanging on the walls, including his own.
