In order to comprehensively reflect the large-scale coal enterprises in 2013
In order to comprehensively reflect the development achievements of large coal enterprises in 2013, further promote the construction and transformation and upgrading of large coal enterprises (groups), and promote the smooth operation and sustainable and healthy development of the coal industry, I will, on the basis of the success of releasing the Top 100 Chinese coal enterprises for 11 consecutive years, and with reference to the internationally accepted standards, and through the declaration of the enterprises on their own, and after careful examination, and based on the criteria of the enterprises' annual operating revenue in 2013 as the shortlisted criteria, I will rank the Top 100 Chinese coal enterprises in 2014. Top 100 Coal Enterprises in China 2014. Compared with the previous year, the shortlisted enterprises present six characteristics:
First, the expansion of the scale of operation slowed down, the non-coal industry continues to expand. 100 enterprises realized a total operating income of 4.16 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.03% compared with the previous year, the growth rate fell by 8.12 percentage points, the lowest level in a decade. The number of enterprises with operating revenues exceeding 100 billion yuan reached 16, the same as the previous year. Some enterprises maintained the momentum of steady growth, 54 enterprises maintained growth in revenue year-on-year. 100 enterprises **** completed non-coal revenue of 2.46 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.38% over the previous year, the proportion of non-coal reached 60%.
Secondly, coal production increased, coal revenue and profit decline. 100 enterprises completed 3.005 billion tons of coal production, an increase of 156 million tons over the previous year, the growth rate of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" since the average annual growth rate of 13.72% down to 5.47%, the lowest level since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan". Among the 90 coal production enterprises, 55 enterprises increased their output year-on-year, with a cumulative increase of 228.92 million tons, an increase of 10.43%; 34 enterprises decreased their output year-on-year, with a cumulative decrease of 51.39 million tons, a decrease of 8.16%; and 1 enterprise was flat year-on-year. 100 enterprises completed the revenue of the coal industry of 169.48 billion yuan, an increase in production of 5.47% over the previous year, the revenue dropped 1.21% compared with that of the previous year. Third, profitability declined significantly, capital operating efficiency continued to decline. 100 enterprises **** completed total net profit of 84.157 billion yuan, a sharp decline of 44.18% over the previous year, of which, 21 enterprises were in the red, and 77 enterprises net profit declined year-on-year; the average net profit margin on sales was 2%, down 2 percentage points over the previous year, of which, 85 enterprises net profit margin on sales year-on-year declined; total assets, net assets and liabilities reached 5.7 trillion yuan, 1.85 trillion yuan and 3.85 trillion yuan respectively, representing an increase of 12.74%, 6.26% and 16.13% respectively over the previous year. Total asset size due to the rapid growth of liabilities pulling the impact of the total asset growth rate has been higher than the growth rate of net assets for five consecutive years, the quality of asset growth is a continuing decline; assets and liabilities continue to rise, reaching 67.59%, an increase of 1.97 percentage points compared with the previous year, higher than the national coal enterprises above designated size of 4.99 percentage points, the enterprise's financial risk continues to increase.
Fourth, the first decline in total tax payments, profit and tax contribution to a substantial "diving". 100 enterprises to achieve total tax payments 294.483 billion yuan, down 38.259 billion yuan from the previous year, a decline of 11.47%, for the first time in 10 years down; complete the total profit and tax 378.641 billion yuan, down 1047.63 billion yuan, a decline of 21% from the previous year. 104.763 billion yuan, down 21.67% from the previous year; the profit tax rate on operating income dropped to single digit for the first time, at 9.11%, down 3.69 percentage points from the previous year. Shenhua Group is the only enterprise whose profit and tax amount reached more than 100 billion yuan, completing a profit and tax of 129.367 billion yuan, accounting for more than one-third of the total profit and tax of 100 enterprises.
Fifth, the main role of the top 10 enterprises has been further strengthened, with 11 enterprises appearing in the Fortune 500. The top 10 enterprises remain relatively stable. Shenhua Group with 367.8 billion yuan of income to continue to lead the list, Shanxi Coking Coal Group with 236.1 billion yuan of income among the second, Jizhong Energy Group with 229.9 billion yuan of income in the third. The revenue, assets, production and profit of the top 10 enterprises were 2.29 trillion yuan, 2.67 trillion yuan, 1.384 billion tons and 92.6 billion yuan, accounting for 55.18%, 46.83%, 46.06% and 69.05% of the 100 enterprises, respectively, up 2.13 percentage points, 3.29 percentage points, 0.74 percentage points and 18.88 percentage points, and the role of the main body was further enhanced. The top 10 enterprises together with the 11th-ranked Kailuan Group *** with the 2014 "Fortune" Fortune 500, ranked within 400. Among them, Shenhua Group ranked 165th, up 13 places from the previous year. Shanxi Coking Coal Group from last year's 403rd, up to 290th. 11 enterprises revenue and ranking rose over the previous year, but the level of profits overall decline. 11 enterprises *** complete net profit of 61.027 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 21.38%, there are 4 enterprises loss, 10 profit declined to varying degrees.
Sixth, mergers and acquisitions continue to promote the integration of growth effect is remarkable. 100 enterprises actively through mergers and acquisitions and restructuring, listing and financing, bond issuance and other means of shareholding reform, equity diversification, diversification of the main body of the investment in the growing development of property rights reform gradually deepened, the legal person governance structure is gradually improved, and the degree of enterprise marketization steadily increased. *** 25 enterprises implemented mergers and acquisitions and reorganization activities in 2013, down from the previous year. 39 enterprises have 52 listed companies, with 27 listed companies in the coal category. There were quite a number of M&A and restructuring hotspots, such as the strategic restructuring of Henan Coal Chemical Group and Yima Coal Group to set up Henan Energy Group, the restructuring of Shanxi Coking Coal Group to form Shanxi Coke Group, the merger and restructuring of Shanxi Coal Transportation and Marketing Group and Shanxi International Electric Power Group to set up Jinneng Limited Liability Company, the acquisition of coal mines, oil shale mines and rubber plantations by Shandong Energy Group in Australia, Cambodia and other countries, and the successful completion of the overall listing of Jingyuan Coal Group, as well as the Successful restructuring of Gansu's largest fertilizer producer, Liu Hua Group.
In 2013, in the face of the severe coal economic operating situation, coal enterprises insisted on seeking progress while maintaining stability, actively promoted coal market-oriented reform, accelerated the pace of structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading, and made significant achievements. At the same time, the development of coal enterprises are still facing a lot of difficulties and contradictions, the transformation of the mode of economic development slower progress, capital operating efficiency is not high; profitability has plummeted, losses continue to increase; structural surplus situation of coal intensified, the task of production capacity is arduous; innovation-driven drive is insufficient, the lack of long-term mechanism of stable growth of R & D investment; the core competitiveness of the lack of, brand awareness is weak. These serious constraints on the development of enterprises.
The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the healthy development of the coal industry. Recently, the relevant departments of the state are increasing the efforts of the coal industry to get rid of the work, multi-pronged, comprehensively promote the coal industry to get rid of the work. It is hoped that the majority of coal enterprises will thoroughly implement the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Promoting the Stable Operation of the Coal Industry (Guo Ban Fa [2013] No. 104) and a series of other documents, and implement the working arrangements for the coal industry to get out of difficulties put forward by the National Development and Reform Commission, to further deepen the reforms, to strengthen the self-discipline, to promote the transformation and upgrading, and to effectively improve the quality and benefit of the development, and make positive contributions to the promotion of the stable operation and healthy and stable development of the national coal industry. It will make positive contributions to the smooth operation and healthy and stable development of the national coal industry.
