Zhong Shuxin is determined to learn medicine, hanging pots, to serve the villagers. Zhong Shuxin took the license to practice as a village doctor, and began working as a full-time village doctor in Shuangmu Village in 1991. In order to facilitate those living in remote villagers to see a doctor in a timely manner, Zhong Shuxin often over the mountains to door-to-door service, sometimes one way to walk 5 kilometers of mountain road. Over the years, he has also gradually built up a personal health file for the villagers, and many of them have received better treatment for their chronic diseases.
To this day, the village's young adults have either moved to the county or gone out to work, leaving only 30 villagers with an average age of more than 50, but Zhong Shuxin refused a higher-paid job offer. Zhong Shuxin said, "I've been climbing this mountain all my life, guarding the townspeople here."
