Financing situation of Beijing Medical Equipment Company

Recently, 36Kr learned that Weber Medical (Shenzhen Weber Medical Robot Co., Ltd.), an intelligent intravenous drug dispensing system research and development company in the field of smart medical care, has completed tens of millions of A+ rounds of financing, which was invested by a strategic investor. Previously, the company has obtained angel round and A round of financing, with the amount of10 million yuan.

Weber Medical was founded at the end of 20 15. Its founder Jin Haiyang studied for a doctorate at Harbin Institute of Technology and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Hamburg University in Germany. The team has about 60 people, and R&D personnel account for more than one third. The company is located in Shenzhen. Jin Haiyang, the founder, had been engaged in related research in the medical robot industry for a long time before starting a business, and he chose the field of dispensing robots to start a business on 20 15.

In hospitals, traditional drug dispensing is mainly divided into two ways: one is decentralized dispensing, which is usually carried out by nurses in outpatient or inpatient departments; The other is in the intravenous drug dispensing center, which is managed and dispensed by pharmacists in a unified way. The pain points in the industry are: human-drug contact, drug splash and so on. It is easy to bring occupational injuries; Quality control is difficult, dissolution and dispensing accuracy are obviously affected by nurses' experience, technology and fatigue, and the consistency of drug dispensing quality is poor; The degree of intelligence is low, the existing equipment interfaces are complex and cannot be interconnected, the intermediate process lacks accurate monitoring, the whole process cannot be automatically supervised, and the manual supervision of drug use process is easy to make mistakes and difficult to trace.

For intelligent intravenous drug dispensing, in the past few years, Bo has launched four product lines: various types of dispensing robots, automatic sorting/packaging equipment, intelligent logistics cleaning and static dispensing management software systems. Among them, the core of Weber Medical is dispensing robot products. At present, the company has three products: comprehensive automatic dispensing robot, desktop ampoule dispensing robot and desktop penicillin dispensing robot. The advantages of the company's comprehensive automatic dispensing robot are that it not only supports penicillin/ampoule mixed prescription, but also has its own purification system, and fully considers the convenience of hospital use and layout, and adopts a highly integrated design scheme, so that its floor space is only1/3-1/4 of similar products; The desktop ampoule dispensing robot can realize the opening speed of 2s/ bottle.

"After the doctor's prescription reaches the vein center, we can take over the whole process," Jin Haiyang said. From the labeling, sorting and dispensing of drugs to the distribution of various departments, the whole implementation process can be monitored by the hardware equipment and software system of Weber Medical, which can realize the intelligence and informationization of the whole process.

The company's products are mainly used in intravenous drug dispensing centers, chemotherapy dispensing rooms, hospital departments, pharmacies and consumables warehouses to meet the needs of hospitals to reduce occupational injuries, improve the quality of drug dispensing and standardize the dispensing process. The commercialization of the company is also mainly sold to hospitals through bidding.

According to Jin Haiyang, at present, the company's commercialization model is divided into two types: one is the sales of software and hardware products, which provide comprehensive and professional products according to specific clinical needs, and the pricing ranges from hundreds of thousands to millions of yuan, and the other is the overall solution of intelligent intravenous drug deployment, with a customer unit price of about 10 million yuan. At present, the company's products have entered about 60 hospitals across the country, including nearly 50 top-three hospitals, and hundreds of machines and software systems are in clinical application.

The potential market of China intravenous drug dispensing center is huge. The average daily consumption of intravenous drug dispensing center in a 3A hospital ranges from 6,000 bags to tens of thousands of bags. The annual consumption of intravenous drug dispensing centers in China exceeds10 billion bags. In the next 3-5 years, the penetration rate of intelligent admixture service market will increase by nearly 10 times, and the overall market scale will be 1000 billion yuan. In terms of competition, Omnicell, an overseas Nasdaq-listed company, and domestic manufacturers such as Weibang and Sanggu are all deployed in this field.
