Profile of Liu Shiyuan

Director of the Department of Imaging Medicine and Nuclear Medicine of Changzheng Hospital, Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor, Liu Shiyuan received his master's degree from the Second Military Medical University under Prof. Xiao Xiangsheng in 1994, his doctoral degree from Sun Yat-sen Hospital of Fudan University under Prof. Zhou Kangrong in 1998, and his postdoctoral degree from the Second Military Medical University in 2000.

He is the vice chairman of Chinese Radiological Society, the chairman of cardiothoracic group of Chinese Radiological Society, the chairman-designate of Shanghai Radiological Society, the standing committee of All-Army Radiological Committee, the standing committee of Radiological Branch of Chinese Physicians Association, the standing committee of Chinese Society of Imaging Technology Research, the vice chairman of Shanghai Tumor Imaging Committee, the vice chairman of Shanghai Information Integration Society, the vice chairman of Shanghai Radiological Branch of Shanghai Biomedical Engineering Society, the vice chairman of International Lung Cancer Association, and the vice chairman of International Lung Cancer Association. He is a member of the International Lung Cancer Association, the Radiological Society of North America, the European Society of Radiology, etc. He is also the associate editor of the Chinese Journal of Computerized Imaging, the associate editor of the Journal of Practical Radiology, and a member of the editorial boards of 11 journals, including the Chinese Journal of Radiology. He also serves as a visiting professor at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an expert in the evaluation of the National Natural Fund, an expert in the evaluation of national and Shanghai's continuing education programs, an expert in the evaluation of the bidding of equipment of the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) and Shanghai, and an expert in the appraisal of Shanghai's medical accidents.

He has been engaged in clinical work of medical imaging for 25 years, with rich experience in medical teaching and research in imaging, specializing in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of chest diseases, especially lung cancer, and molecular imaging. His main research directions are as follows: 1) Early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of lung cancer, and comprehensive interventional treatment of middle and advanced lung cancer; 2) Basic and clinical research on opportunistic infections of the lungs; 3) Functional imaging (CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine); 4) Functional imaging; 5) Functional imaging (CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine); 6) Functional imaging (CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine), MRI, nuclear medicine); 4, molecular imaging.

Proposed the optimal CT examination protocol for lung nodules; the earliest report on the significance of MRI signal patterns and point-cluster high signals for the differentiation of lung cancer tissue types; the earliest to engage in the study of thoracic magnetic *** vibration angiography and lung parenchyma imaging, and put forward the optimal contrast application protocol for thoracic magnetic *** vibration-enhanced angiography and lung parenchyma imaging; the earliest to study the molecular biological mechanism of lung cancer enhancement. He proposed that the enhancement of lung cancer is positively correlated with the density of microvessels, and the basement membrane of microvessels affects the enhancement curve, and suggested that dynamic enhancement can identify most of the nodules or masses in the lung. The feasibility of magnetic **** vibration molecular imaging targeting tumor neovascularization and targeted diagnosis of lung cancer using folic acid as a carrier was initially explored, and has achieved success at a stage. It increased the correct rate of initial diagnosis of lung cancer in China from 86 % to 98.2 %.
