Automated External Defibrillator (AED), also known as AED, is a portable medical device that diagnoses specific cardiac arrhythmias and delivers an electric shock to defibrillate, and is a medical device that can be used by laypersons to resuscitate cardiac arrest patients.
AED simple 3-step operation:
Open the switch (some AEDs open the lid is open)
Listen to the voice prompts to paste the electrode pads, the AED will automatically analyze the heart rate, (do not touch the patient), the voice will prompt the patient to need to defibrillate, (do not touch the patient, is charging)
Defibrillation button lights up, and immediately pressed; (Defibrillation is complete, you can touch the patient, to start the cardiac arrest). You can touch the patient to start CPR), and start a new round of CPR immediately after defibrillation is completed.
Behind the AED will be every 2 minutes will be a test of the patient, such as still need to defibrillation, will prompt the patient need to defibrillation, if not, will prompt the defibrillation is not recommended to carry out CPR, to know the arrival of medical personnel!
Note: The electrode pads must not be removed privately until the arrival of the paramedics; listen to the voice, what the voice tells us to do, we do.
Buying an AED machine is the basis of protection, but learning first aid skills is still the key, people learn first aid, first aid for everyone!
