Qingyuan Polytechnic (Qingyuan Polytechnic) referred to as "Qingzheng College", was established in 2002, is approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Ministry of Education for the record, the Qingyuan Municipal People's Government organized by the comprehensive public higher education, Guangdong Province, the demonstration of higher vocational colleges and universities.
Qingyuan Vocational and Technical College was upgraded from the merger of Qingyuan Normal School, Qingyuan Health School, Qingyuan Radio and Television University, Qingyuan Teachers' Training School and Qingyuan Traffic School.
According to the official website of Qing Vocational in 2016, the college has a planned land area of 3,461 acres, a built-up campus area of nearly 1,000 acres, a building area of 256,400 square meters, seven second-level colleges, 623 faculty and staff members, more than 13,496 full-time general specialized students, and more than 4,000 adult education students.
