Shandong LNG project is organized and constructed by China Petrochemical Natural Gas Branch, located in dongjiakou Port, a national new district-Qingdao West Coast New District. The construction content includes three parts: receiving station, wharf project and export pipeline project. Shandong LNG project is independently designed, purchased, constructed and managed by China Petrochemical Company, and has made important breakthroughs in wharf design and construction, receiving station design, tank manufacturing and jacking, process evaluation, and localization of main equipment and materials. In the construction of storage tanks, a unique foundation structure is adopted, which has better seismic performance than common pile foundations. The construction progress was accelerated by more than 50%, and the project cost was reduced by about 20%. The "continuous pouring technology of upper surface mould" was pioneered in China, which improved the pouring quality of large dome concrete. For the first time, the localization of prestressed system was realized on LNG storage tank. In addition, in order to make full use of light hydrocarbon resources in LNG feed gas, Shandong LNG Project designed and built the first domestic light hydrocarbon recovery device, which provided a new production, operation and profit model for the development of domestic LNG receiving stations.
