Blue laser refers to laser with a wavelength between 360 and 480 nanometers (nm). Blue laser is a common semiconductor laser diode, which is mainly composed of group III gallium nitride. This new component is used in many fields, from high-density data storage to medical applications.

Blue lasers usually work at 400 nanometers, but under normal operation, the display of these devices is between 480 and 360 nanometers. At present, there are 473 nm DPSS lasers on the market, but they are still very expensive.
At present, the well-known 405nm laser is not blue, but looks purple with eyes, so the sensitivity of human eyes to color is very limited.
When the blue dot on a white object is pointed out, it is actually fluorescence, which has the same effect as a black light. For display applications, true blue requires light with a wavelength of 450 nm to 460 nm. This kind of laser is already on the market.
The last great challenge is to construct a "real green" InGaN laser (about 530 nm). The equipment displayed by many companies can only work at the wavelength of 480-500 nanometers.
