Voice control

Voice commands provide a convenient driving experience that can help you focus on driving and keep your attention on the road and traffic conditions. You can also use voice recognition to interact with the Volvo navigation system.

Voice Recognition is available in the following languages: English (UK), English (US), French, Canadian French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Spanish (Latin), Dutch, Swedish and German.

Connecting a mobile phone

Before voice commands sent to a cell phone can be used, the cell phone must be registered and connected via the Bluetooth?hands-free system. If a phone command is sent but the cell phone is not connected, the system can provide you with information related to this. Getting started with voice control

Press the voice recognition button on the steering wheel to activate the system and start talking with voice commands. At this point the system displays frequently used commands on the center console screen.

When you use the voice recognition system, remember the following:

For commands - leave a message after the signal tone, at a normal speech rate and in a normal voice.

Do not speak when the system replies (the system does not recognize commands at this time).

Doors, windows and sunroof must be closed.

Avoid background noise in the passenger compartment.
