The industrialized production of SBS products in the world began in the 1960's. In 1967, Hualan Philips developed star-type (or radial-type) SBS products. Especially in the period 1994-1995, due to the Shell company in the United States Ohio SBS production unit explosion, resulting in the world market SBS supply constraints, which triggered the rapid growth of the world SBS production capacity, especially in East and Southeast Asia, such as Taiwan Province of China, South Korea and other places in the new batch of large-scale production of SBS production units. The world SBS is mainly used in shoes, adhesives, asphalt modification and polymer modification. In different countries and regions, the proportion of each application varies. In North America and Western Europe, the largest application of SBS is asphalt modification, followed by adhesives and footwear; Japan SBS is mainly used in polymer modification and adhesives, followed by asphalt modification; and in China and Southeast Asia SBS's largest consumer area is the footwear industry.
It is expected that during the period 2002-2007, the world SBS product consumption average annual growth rate of about 5-6%, by 2007 its consumption will reach 1.15-1.2 million tons. 2.2 Domestic Market Analysis

At the end of 1996, the General Factory of Petrochemicals in Yueyang expanded the production capacity of its SBS plant to 30,000 tons/year, and in 1998, it expanded the production capacity of the plant to 10,000 tons. At the end of 1996, Yueyang Petrochemical General Factory expanded the production capacity of SBS plant to 30,000 tons/year, and in 1998, the plant capacity was expanded to 50,000 tons/year. Shoe industry

Asphalt modification
SBS in the asphalt modification in the application of asphalt modification, including waterproofing membrane asphalt modification as well as road asphalt modification of two aspects. Other fields
