Bangkok BTS Introduction
The full name of BTS is Bangkok Mass Transit System, Bangkok Mass Transit System.
The total **** has two lines: BTS Sukhumvit (Sukhunyi) line and BTS Silom (Shalong) line.
Ticketing and transfers
Fares vary depending on the station where you get on and where you arrive. The cheapest is 16 baht and the highest 59 baht;
Most ticket vending machines only accept coins and some accept banknotes. If you don't have coins, you can exchange them at the window on the platform;
If most of your daily schedule is around the station, it's recommended to buy a 140 baht one-day card. It's queue-free and coin-exchange-free for the whole trip, which is super convenient; you can also buy it online and pick it up at the scheduled pickup point, which will be cheaper than buying it on-site;
The interchange between the two lines is at Siam Station.
BTS, MRT and Airport Express are operated by different companies, so their tickets are not interchangeable.
