Tig welding how to operate

Argon arc welding is a commonly used method of metal welding, the following is the general argon arc welding procedure:

1, preparation: wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as welding masks, gloves and protective clothing. Make sure there are no flammable items or combustible gases around the welding area.

2. Prepare equipment: Connect the argon cylinder to the welding machine and make sure the gas flow regulator is properly adjusted. Check that the power and ground wires of the welding machine are well connected.

3, prepare the welding material: clean the metal surface to be welded to remove grease, rust and impurities. Make sure the gap and preparation of the weld meets the welding requirements.

4, set the welding current: according to the type and thickness of the welding material, select the appropriate welding current. Adjust the current size according to the setting of the welding machine.

5, start welding: put on the welding mask, the electrode of the welding gun and the workpiece contact, press the current switch of the welding machine. Maintain a certain welding torch angle and distance, so that the arc is formed stably.

6, for welding: slowly move the welding torch along the seam, while maintaining an appropriate arc length. The electrode or wire will melt and fill the weld, forming a welded joint.

7, control the welding speed: according to the melting process and the requirements of the weld, control the welding speed. Too fast a speed may lead to inadequate melting, while too slow a speed may cause overheating and deformation.

8, finish welding: after welding is completed, release the current switch to extinguish the arc. Wait for the welding area to cool down, and then carry out the necessary cleaning and finishing.

Argon arc welding requires skill and experience to ensure welding quality and safety. If you are a beginner or do not have enough experience, it is recommended that you perform tig welding operations under professional guidance.
