3C certification is a product conformity assessment system issued by China government on February 3, 2006 to protect consumers' personal safety and national security and strengthen product quality management. The following are the specific contents of 3c certification:
1 and 3C marks are not quality marks, but the most basic safety certification, which can solve the long-standing problems in China's product certification system, such as excessive policies, repeated evaluation, repeated charges, separation of certification behavior from law enforcement behavior, and establish technical regulations, standards and conformity assessment procedures consistent with international rules, which can promote trade facilitation and liberalization;
2. In order to fulfill the WTO commitment, the China government issued a compulsory product certification system on February 3, 2006. The General Administration of Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China and the State Certification and Accreditation Administration issued the Regulations on the Administration of Compulsory Product Certification on February 3, 2006, which implemented the compulsory certification management of "unified catalogue, unified standards and evaluation procedures, unified marks and unified fees" for the products listed in the Catalogue. The original CCIB certification and the Great Wall CCEE certification are unified as compulsory certification in China, abbreviated as CCC in English, so it is also abbreviated as 3C certification.
Current situation of China

The rapid development of information industry, coupled with the cruelty of competition and market saturation in the home appliance industry, has promoted the transformation of home appliance giants from the inside to the IT field. Therefore, the networking of home appliances will be closer to consumers step by step.
To sum up, the products that need 3c certification are: wires and cables, switches, low-voltage appliances, power tools, household appliances, automobile tires, truck tires, audio-visual equipment, information equipment, telecommunications terminals, motor vehicles, medical devices, safety precautions, paints, ceramics, automobile supplies and toys. For example: household switches, cars, chargers, car tires, driving computers, etc. Not all products need to apply for 3c certification. There is a scope for 3c certification, which is commonly referred to as 3c certification catalogue. However, all products will not be listed in the catalogue, and will be divided into corresponding categories according to their functions and uses.

The state unifies the catalogue of products that must be certified, the mandatory requirements, standards and conformity assessment procedures of technical specifications, unified signs and unified charging standards.
The unified product catalogue (hereinafter referred to as the catalogue) shall be formulated and adjusted by the certification and accreditation supervision and administration department of the State Council in conjunction with the relevant departments of the State Council, promulgated by the certification and accreditation supervision and administration department of the State Council, and implemented in conjunction with relevant parties.
