Unification Enterprises was formally established in the ancient capital of Tainan on July 1, 1967. In the entrepreneurial spirit of benefiting the local community, Unification laid the foundation of the future food kingdom with a workforce of 82 employees and a capitalization of 32 million yuan.

Entrepreneurial period (1967-1973)

Unification Group investment strategy
January 13, 1992, the Unification Group invested in mainland China to set up the first factory - Xinjiang Unification Enterprises Food Co. Based on the principle of "taking from the mainland and using in the mainland", the company strives to make more contributions to the mainland's economic construction and people's health by developing more and healthier products, providing employment opportunities, introducing advanced enterprise management experience, actively paying taxes, and enthusiastically supporting the local cooperative manufacturers and other related links. Currently, Uni-President has become one of the largest foreign-funded enterprises in the mainland food industry.
In the beginning, the company adopted a T-shape strategy in mainland China, taking the coastal special economic zones and development zones along the Yangtze River as the market target for investment and construction of factories, and deciding on the business to be invested in according to the characteristics of each regional market, such as national income, spending power, consumer preferences, and the relative competitive advantages of the related industries, etc. In 1998, the mainland operation headquarter was set up in Shanghai, which is responsible for the management of the company's mainland investment business.
