What tests do cooling fan manufacturers do for cooling fans?

The cooling fan must be tested layer by layer before leaving the factory. If it is waterproof, it needs to be tested. The cooling fan test includes accessory test, stability test, high temperature aging test, wind tunnel test, environmental protection test and salt spray test, which are described below.

1. The test of cooling fan accessories includes coil, frame and fan blades.

Coil is used to test the surge resistance and calorific value of copper wire after winding, which is one of the factors that determine the stability of fan. The frame and fan blades are tested for hardness, toughness and brittleness to prevent unreasonable fracture in use.

2. Stability test includes maximum voltage test, minimum voltage test and interval temperature test.

The cooling fan was tested in the range of -20℃, 38℃, 70℃ and 100℃.

According to the voltage test of the cooling fan, the rated voltage is 24v and the working voltage range is 15-27v. Fans in this range are in normal working condition, otherwise they are unqualified.

3. High temperature aging test of cooling fan. Temperature is mentioned in the stability test. High temperature aging is mentioned here alone because the working function of the cooling fan itself is cooling. More often, the working environment temperature is high, so the high-temperature aging test is very important.

4. Wind tunnel test of cooling fan, which reflects the data of fan blades, frame and airflow and directly reflects the test of the whole cooling fan effect. Poor design of fan blade frame leads to poor conductivity, scattered wind direction and increased noise.

5. Environmental protection test of cooling fan, ROHS six indicators test material report? , need to meet the relevant environmental standards.

6. Salt spray test for cooling fans, and test the salt spray performance, water resistance and corrosion resistance of waterproof fans ip55 and ip68. Waterproof cooling fan is suitable for wet outdoor equipment in coastal areas.
