Neusoft, why is this company called Neusoft?

I'd like to say it's because their "stuff is soft", but the real reason is that it's short for "Northeastern University Software Center" and "Northeastern University Software Group, Inc." See below for more details:

1988

Neusoft's predecessor, the Northeastern Polytechnic Institute's Department of Computer Science, was founded as the Software and Network Engineering Laboratory

1990

Neusoft was founded on the basis of the Laboratory as the "Center for Computer Software Research and Development"

1991

Neusoft was founded on the basis of the Research Laboratory.

On the basis of the Research Laboratory, the "Northeast Institute of Technology Computer Software Research and Development Center" was established.

1991

Northeast Institute of Technology OPENSOFT System Development Company was established; and a joint venture with Japan's Alpine was set up to establish the Northeast Institute of Technology Alpine Sound Software Research Institute (Co., Ltd.).

1993

East Alpine Software Co., Ltd. was established; Northeastern University Software Center became China's first "National Engineering Research Center for Computer Software"

1995

Northeastern University Software Park laid the foundation stone for the construction and became China's first "National Torch Plan Software Park". "National Torch Plan Software Industry Base"; Northeastern University's Computer Imaging Center was incorporated into Neusoft, and the company began to move into the field of CT and other medical systems

1996

Neusoft and Toshiba established a joint venture called Dongdong System Integration Company Limited; Northeastern University's Software Group Co. Ltd. was established; Neusoft Alpine became China's first domestically listed software company

1998

Baosteel Group invested in Neusoft Group; Neusoft Digital Medical System Co.

Neusoft implements brand integration strategy and establishes the unified "Neusoft/Neusoft" brand; Neusoft Alpine is renamed Neusoft Corporation; Neusoft Japan is established

2002

Neusoft Institute of Information Nanhai and Chengdu are built and constructed in succession.

Neusoft Information College Nanhai and Chengdu College were constructed and operated successively; Neusoft became the first software company in China to obtain CMM5 assessment by passing CMM5 level evaluation

2003

Neusoft Group completed strategic reorganization; Neusoft Software Park Industrial Development Co.Ltd. was established

2004

Neusoft Philips Medical Device Systems Co. Neusoft passed the CMMI5 assessment and became the first software company in China to obtain CMMI5 level assessment
