Chifeng Vocational College of Applied Technology is a full-time public ordinary college of higher education approved by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in April 2020 and established for the record of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in May 2020, and it is a college of higher education aiming at cultivating high-level and applied technical talents.
The college has seven major professional groups, including agriculture and forestry, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, rural construction and water conservancy engineering, information technology, health management, modern service and management, culture and art. It offers 27 majors such as animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, nursing, gardening technology, water conservancy engineering, big data and accounting, air crew, big data technology, medical equipment maintenance and management.
The college plans to occupy an area of 800 mu, with a total construction area of 250,000 square meters and a total investment of 920 million yuan. The existing building area of the college is 78,000 square meters, with teaching buildings, practical training buildings, apartment buildings, libraries, stadiums, restaurants and other teaching infrastructure.
The college invested 120 million yuan for the construction of experimental training room and equipment purchase. It has built animal disease diagnosis and treatment center, facility agriculture demonstration base and other on-campus productive training bases; built nursing, pre-school education, computers, drones, e-commerce, tourism services, etc. more than 70 advanced professional training (inspection) room, training equipment more than 30,000 units (sets). The library has a collection of more than 160,000 books.
