The European Union*** has issued twenty-five technical directives, namely: simple pressure vessels, toys, construction products, electromagnetic compatibility, machinery, personal protective equipment, non-automatic weighing instruments, implantable medical devices, general medical devices, gas stoves, radio and telecommunication terminals, boilers, civil explosives, low-voltage, communications satellite earth stations, lifting equipment, equipment using explosive gases, recreational vessels, non-simple pressure vessels, ropeway devices for carrying people, in vitro diagnostic medical devices, marine equipment, new hot water boilers fired by liquid or gaseous fuels, trans-European public transportation***. The products must meet all the requirements of the Directive in respect of recreational vessels, non-simple pressure vessels, ropeways for the carriage of persons, in vitro diagnostic medical devices, nautical equipment, new hot-water boilers fired by liquid or gaseous fuel, trans-European high-speed train systems, domestic refrigerators or freezers and combined energy-saving performance.
