Two, the current status of geology faculty and team building

The college*** has 41 teachers, including 13 professors and 12 associate professors, with 61% of the total number of teachers with senior titles, and 16 intermediate and below. There are 12 teachers with doctoral degree and 8 are studying for doctoral degree, accounting for 49% of the total number of teachers. There are 12 teachers with master's degree, accounting for 29% of the total number of teachers. There are 5 supervisors for doctoral students and 20 supervisors for master's students. Prof. Zhu Guang is the first and second level candidate of "One Hundred Million Talents Project" of the Ministry of Personnel of the People's Republic of China, and professors Yue Shucang, Zhu Guang and Song Chuanzhong are enjoying the special allowance of the State Government.

The age structure, academic structure and title structure of the faculty are reasonable, and there are a number of experts and professors with profound academic attainments and outstanding research achievements in various disciplines. The college attaches great importance to the construction of the faculty, in addition to attracting outstanding talents according to the preferential policies of the university, it also pays attention to selecting and training young subject leaders and academic backbones, encouraging and arranging for young teachers to pursue doctoral degrees in a planned manner, and supporting teachers to participate in various scientific research activities. Three, talent cultivation

School of Resource and Environmental Engineering has a long history, and is one of the earliest majors in the history of Hefei University of Technology. 1950 founded Huainan Coal Industry College of Geology, Mining Section is the predecessor of Hefei University of Technology; Hefei College of Mining was founded in 1954 with a Department of Geology, which was the main discipline of the school at that time. For more than half a century, the college has produced a large number of talents, cultivated a large number of specialized technical talents with solid foundation and excellent quality for the country, which is well known at home and abroad. The college now has 855 undergraduate students, 145 full-time master's degree students and 23 doctoral students, and the enrollment scale of postgraduate students is expanding year by year.

Four, schooling advantages and characteristics

The intersection and integration of multiple disciplines have formed the main advantages and characteristics of the development of our disciplines. Resource environment and sustainable development is one of the key national policies of China, and the cultivation of reserve talents is extremely important. The current undergraduate majors of this institute include three first-level disciplines of geology, geography and environment, and the resource and environment majors are closely related, and the geographic information system major, as a new technology and means, has become the interpenetration of various disciplines of this institute and the link of fusion and intersection, and it has already closely linked the resource, environment, geological engineering and other related majors, and it will hatch new fringe disciplines and new types of professional and technical talents needed for the construction of the country. The college will incubate new fringe disciplines and new professional and technical talents that are urgently needed for the national construction.

The college has strong faculty, reasonable professional structure, and has gradually formed its own characteristics in long-term teaching and scientific research. Hefei University of Technology is an engineering-based comprehensive university, in the process of talent cultivation, broad-based and practical. VIII. International Exchange and Cooperation

The School attaches great importance to international academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation, and has long maintained close cooperative relations with the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Russia and other countries, and has repeatedly sent teachers to study and research. Our graduates who have made outstanding achievements abroad have also been concerned about the development of the college, and their long-term attention has played a greater role in promoting both teaching and scientific research.
