How are ultrasonic transducers classified?

Ultrasonic transducers can be classified in many ways, and the common ones are:

1. According to the vibration mode of the transducer, it can be divided into shear vibration transducer, torsional vibration transducer, longitudinal vibration transducer and bending vibration transducer.

2. According to the working state of the transducer, it can be divided into receiving ultrasonic transducer, transmitting ultrasonic transducer and dual-purpose ultrasonic transducer.

3. According to the working medium of the transducer, it can be divided into liquid transducer, solid transducer and airborne ultrasonic transducer.

4. According to the input power and working signal of the transducer, it can be divided into detection ultrasonic transducer, pulse signal transducer, power ultrasonic transducer, continuous wave signal transducer and modulation signal transducer.

5. According to the shape of transducer, it can be divided into cylindrical transducer, rod transducer, disc transducer, composite ultrasonic transducer and spherical transducer.

6. According to the mechanism of energy conversion and the energy conversion materials used, it can be divided into electromagnetic acoustic transducer, electrostatic transducer, mechanical ultrasonic transducer, magnetostrictive transducer and piezoelectric transducer.
