July 1, 1947, was the 26th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese ****anufacturing party. On this day, along with the rumbling artillery fire of the liberation war, in the ancient Hedong land, Yuncheng City Central Hospital's predecessor - Taiyue Third Special Department of the political and civil hospital was born in Xichuanzhuang, Berlin Township, Wenxi County.
At that time, under the leadership of President Cheng Zhenshan, political commissar Song Zhenshan, the hospital was based on a pharmacy, while absorbing more than 20 predecessors of the Medical Cooperative and its available medicines, equipment and furniture, and founded a people's hospital with the whole region. Due to the change of situation, the hospital was moved several times, with the liberation of Yuncheng. 1948, the hospital was renamed as "Jinnan People's Hospital", and successively established Wenxi Branch, Xiaxian Branch, Caozhang Branch, Pinglu Branch, Xiexian Branch and Wanquan Branch. Subsequently, the hospital was renamed "Jinnan Specialized Public Hospital", and admitted more than 30 people from the Yicheng Temporary Specialized People's Hospital.
From 1948, the hospital has hired famous doctors of Chinese and Western medicine, who became the technical backbone of each department. 1952, the hospital began to accept medical personnel graduated from universities and colleges formally trained by the state. Due to the change of administrative area, the hospital has been renamed as Anyi People's Hospital, Yuncheng General Hospital, Yuncheng Hospital of Jinnan Specialized Agency and Yuncheng Regional People's Hospital.
Over the past sixty years, under the care and support of the higher leaders and the community, through the ****same efforts of several generations of medical staff, the hospital has developed from scratch, from small to large, and has developed into the city's largest comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation, and was awarded the title of "Grade 3B Hospital" in 1993, and was awarded the title of "Grade 3B Hospital" in 1994, and was awarded the title of "Grade 3B Hospital" in 2005. In 1993, it was awarded "Grade B Hospital", "Baby Friendly Hospital" in 1994, and "Grade A Hospital" in 2005, becoming a flag of Hedong medical and health front.
