Briefly introduce:
The mechanical hard disk has a mechanical structure. When reading and writing, the head rotates on the rotating disk to find the sector where the file is located, similar to the previous VCD player (exposed age). During operation, the motor runs at a high speed, resulting in vibration and sensible noise. If it is used in sports or vibration situations, it is easy to damage the hard disk and can withstand a small temperature range. The mechanical hard disk can be read several times, so it has a long service life and is easy to do large capacity.
Solid state drives are mostly composed of main cache and flash memory. Because there is no mechanical structure, there is no need to seek when reading and writing, so it is extremely fast, efficient, strong in earthquake resistance, noiseless when running, with low power consumption standby function, and can withstand a larger temperature range than a mechanical hard disk when working. However, due to the limitation of reading and writing times, the life of SSD is relatively short and the unit cost is high.
