Silica gel roller can be processed by ordinary rubber processing equipment, but attention should be paid to 1. During processing, it should be kept clean, and other rubber, oil stains or impurities should not be mixed, otherwise it will affect the vulcanization and performance of silicone rubber; 2. The silicone roller needs to be vulcanized by hot air in the oven for a long time to improve the performance of vulcanized rubber.

1. Silicone rubber, the coating material of the mixing silicon roller, is soft and has certain plasticity, so it can be mixed directly with an open mill or an internal mixer without plasticizing.

2. Silicone rubber extruded by silicone roller is generally soft, with good extrusion effect and simple operation, and can be extruded in various shapes and sizes, which is similar to the production process of ordinary rubber. For products with high quality requirements, an 80- 140 mesh screen can be installed near the die to remove impurities in the rubber compound and improve the extrusion quality. Silicone rubber extrusion semi-finished products are soft and easy to deform, and must be vulcanized immediately. The most commonly used method is continuous vulcanization with hot air. The wire and cable industry usually uses high-pressure steam to continue vulcanization. If it cannot be vulcanized continuously after extrusion, in order to prevent deformation, it should be picked up with a disc or conveyor belt immediately after extrusion and isolated with talcum powder to avoid adhesion. If it is found that the rubber mixture is too soft to be extruded, white carbon black can be mixed into the rubber mixture.

3. Calendering generally adopts vertical three-roll calender, and the glue used for calendering must be controlled correctly. It's best not to do sufficient regrinding on the rubber mixer first, so that sufficient regrinding amount can be obtained together in the calendering process to avoid silicone rubber from sticking to the roller due to excessive regrinding. The formula of silicone rubber also has a certain influence on calendering. The calendering performance of reinforcing filler compound is better.

4. Glue coating is an electrical insulating material that distributes silicone rubber paste or scraping glue evenly on the fabric to improve the strength and flexibility of film products and make the fabric resistant to moisture and high temperature. After the fabric is treated with adhesive, glue can be evenly coated on the fabric with a glue coater, and then dried and vulcanized. Vulcanization is generally carried out in two stages, the first stage is 120℃ to 130℃, and the second stage is 230℃. The thickness of the coating can be controlled by changing the viscosity of the glue solution or adjusting the speed of the fabric passing through the gluing groove. 5. Adhesive silicone rubber can be bonded to many materials, including metals, plastics, ceramics, fibers, silica gel itself and other rubbers. The best adhesion between silicone rubber and coating can be obtained by using adhesive which can vulcanize at the same time with silicone rubber itself. 6. The vulcanization process of vulcanized silica gel roller is not completed at one time, but is carried out in two stages. Rubber is heated and molded under pressure or normal pressure, which is called primary vulcanization, and vulcanized at high temperature in an oven to further stabilize the physical properties of vulcanized rubber, which is called secondary vulcanization.
