The First People's Hospital of Chongwen District, Beijing, founded in 1960, is a second-class comprehensive hospital, integrating geriatric prevention, medical treatment, health care and rehabilitation, and is one of the first designated medical institutions for basic medical insurance and one of the first geriatric hospitals in the four urban districts of Beijing.　The hospital is adjacent to the South Central Axis Road, guarding the southern gate of the city.
