Operating room related systems

In order to strengthen the management of surgical safety in hospitals, to guide and standardize the management of hospital operating departments (rooms), and to ensure medical safety, this specification is formulated.

Article 5: The hospital surgical department (room) shall have the place, facilities, instruments, equipment, medicines, surgical instruments, related medical supplies, and technical force appropriate to the hospital's level, function, and mission, to ensure that the surgical work is carried out in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Article VI of the Department of Surgery (room) should be located in the hospital to facilitate the transportation of surgical patients in the region, it is appropriate to close to the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, clinical surgery, pathology, blood transfusion (blood bank) and other departments, the surrounding environment is quiet and clean. Hospitals should establish emergency surgery patients green channel.

Article VII of the Department of Surgery (room) of the architectural layout should follow the principles of hospital infection prevention and control, in line with the rational function of the process and the basic principles of clean and dirty areas separate.

The Department of Surgery (room) should be equipped with staff access routes, patient access routes and logistics routes, the flow is reasonable.

Article VIII of the Department of Surgery (room) of the building layout should be divided into auxiliary areas and work areas. Auxiliary areas include staff locker rooms, offices, rest rooms, restrooms, etc.. Work areas include surgical preparation room, operating room, surgical brush hand area, anesthesia recovery room, sterile goods storage room, instrument processing room.
