What are casters?

Caster is a general term, including movable casters, fixed casters and movable casters with brake. Activity casters are also what we call universal wheel, its structure allows 360 degrees rotation; fixed casters are also called directional casters, it does not have a rotating structure, can not be rotated. Usually two kinds of casters are generally used in conjunction with, for example, the structure of the cart is the front two directional wheels, the back near the push handrail is two universal wheels. Casters have a variety of materials casters, such as pp casters, PVC casters, PU casters, cast iron casters, nylon casters, TPR casters, iron core nylon casters, iron core PU casters and so on.

Casters are usually composed of two or four wheels, usually two wheels in front and two directional wheels in the back. They are usually used on furniture, machines, luggage, carts and other objects. Casters come in many different shapes and sizes to suit a variety of uses. Some casters also have brakes that lock the wheels to prevent accidental movement of the cart.

Universal Casters

Universal casters are a special type of movable caster. A gimbal can rotate independently through 360 degrees. This design allows the gimbal to move freely both horizontally and vertically for more flexible steering and maneuvering.

Universal casters are widely used in various types of equipment and tools, such as carts, luggage, furniture, medical equipment, industrial robots and so on. In these applications, gimbals make equipment lighter, easier to move, and allow it to rotate or steer in tight spaces. In addition, gimbals can help reduce the friction of the equipment on the floor, thereby reducing the resistance to movement and energy consumption of the equipment.
