The difference between emotional design and design emotion

Emotion is, in the final analysis, a physiological reaction of human beings, which is related to people's own expectations. Many times, as long as people's inner expectations can be met, they will involuntarily produce a happy mood. If such expectations and emotions are not met, they will form a sense of loss in their hearts. For this reason, in the current product design, more and more designers begin to express their feelings, and their application ideas are mainly manifested in the following aspects.

The emotionalization of 1. form

For product design, product form, as an external manifestation, gives people a strong sense of visual stimulation. Under the social background of rapid technological progress and increasingly diversified products, the design thinking of product designers has undergone great changes, and they have begun to pay more attention to the aesthetics and culture in product design, and to show different aesthetic characteristics and value orientations in product forms, so as to stimulate consumers' desire to buy, let more emotional shapes touch consumers' hearts and trigger the emergence of * * * from the emotional level.

2. Emotional color

Emotion is also expressed in the color of the product. Rich and unique color design can greatly enhance the charm of products, make their shapes more reasonable and special, and thus bring people a stable mood and cheerful spirit. It can be said that the emotionalization of color brings the artistic effect of sound to product design, which can quickly convey all kinds of information. For example, the baby's underwear is soft and light, while the children's toys are rich and exquisite in color, which are the rational use of emotional colors.

3. Emotional materials

Material is the material basis of products, which can not only fully display its unique aesthetic feeling, but also set off the quality of products. Therefore, in product design, designers will make rational use of materials, narrow the distance between products and people, and increase the added value of products. For example, the modeling of plush toys is only one of the main aspects of its value realization, and the reason why it is so popular lies in the emotional carrier role played by its soft materials, which has become the emotional sustenance of users to some extent. Its companion function when users feel lonely and listener function when users feel negative make its value play a greater role.

4. Emotional skills

The emotionalization of product design not only depends on external elements such as form, color and material, but also can be expressed emotionally with the help of technical skills. For this reason, designers can creatively combine various elements of products in the design process to show specific functional characteristics in a clearer form. For example, the design of cigarette cases is generally independent, and the design of ashtrays is also independent, but designers don't have to stick to this design idea all the time. They can design more flexibly according to actual needs, and combine the two together to innovate the modeling form. This ingenious combination can break the tradition and bring users a unique and fresh experience.
