What are the components of iso9000 standard

The ISO9000 family of international standards*** is divided into the following parts:

1. ISO9000-X Guide

Provides guidance on the selection and use of standards throughout the ISO9000 family, and also covers certain single topics (e.g., trustworthiness: ISO9000-4).

In particular, it is emphasized that ISO 9000-3 is improperly numbered and, by its content, should be placed in the ISO 9004-X group.

2. ISO9001, ISO9002, ISO9003 Quality Assurance Models

These models set out the requirements for a product supplier's quality system, and are applicable to contractual situations and third-party certification.

In particular, note that ISO/TC176 only sets the base standard.

A number of branch standards have been developed by ISO, CEN or national technical committees based on these base standards, e.g.

- EN46001:1993 - Quality systems; Medical devices; Requirements for the implementation of EN29001.

-EN46002: 1993-Quality System; Medical Devices; Requirements for the implementation of EN29002.

3. ISO 9004-X Guide

Provides guidance on the implementation of appropriate quality management, or the implementation of appropriate system elements in a quality system, for a wide range of industries.

4. ISO100x x; Requirements Guide

Provides tools and techniques to support the implementation of a quality system. ISO10012-1 and ISO10012-2 provide requirements for measurement equipment. Other standards provide guidelines.

5. ISO8402

Quality management and quality assurance - Terminology, 1994 As the only terminology standard, ISO8402 defines terms related to quality management.
