Measures of People's Republic of China (PRC) Municipality on the Administration of Compulsory Verification of Working Measuring Instruments
In order to strengthen the management of measuring instruments for compulsory verification, the State Council issued the "Administrative Measures for Verification of Measuring Instruments for Compulsory Verification in People's Republic of China (PRC)" on April 5, 2004. According to these measures, the metrological administrative departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall uniformly supervise and manage the compulsory verification work within their respective administrative areas, and designate subordinate or authorized metrological verification institutions to perform compulsory verification tasks in accordance with the principle of economy, rationality and proximity.
