When was Chaozhou Hospital established?

Chaozhou Central Hospital, formerly known as Chaozhou Red Cross Hospital, was founded in 1922. 1982 Mr. Li Ka-shing donated a huge sum of money to expand and rename Chaoan Hospital. 1990 was officially named Chaozhou Central Hospital. It is a public non-profit general hospital established according to the plan of the third-class first-class hospital of Guangdong Provincial Health Department. It is the technical guidance center and important base for medical first aid, teaching and scientific research, prevention and health care in Chaozhou.

Clinical departments include emergency department, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, traditional Chinese medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, stomatology, anesthesiology, rehabilitation and other 12 first-level departments, as well as respiratory medicine, digestive medicine, cardiovascular medicine, neurology, nephrology, hematology, endocrinology, rheumatism, infection, oncology.

Medical technology department 18 departments, including radiology, nuclear medicine, laboratory, pathology, artificial kidney, endoscope room, catheter room, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy room, color ultrasound room, B-ultrasound room, electromyography room, electrocardiogram room, EEG room, pharmacy department, nutrition department, operating room and central laboratory.

At present, there are 939 employees 1039, including medical staff, 27 with full senior titles, 37 with deputy senior 166 with intermediate/kloc-0, 8 with doctor's and master's degrees, 2 with master's degrees, and 5 with special allowances from the State Council. There are 800 open beds, with a total operation volume of about 7,000, more than 20,000 discharged patients and more than 500,000 emergency visits. 1997 was rated as the teaching hospital of Guangdong Medical College. In the past ten years, it has undertaken 280 provincial and municipal scientific research projects and won 56 provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress awards. Awarded the honorary title of "National Advanced Collective of Health System" by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Personnel.
