Development history:
Omron's origin with China can be traced back to 30 years ago. The founder of the company, Mr. Kazuma Tateishi, was the vice president of the Kyoto General Bureau of State Trade Promotion, and began exchanges and cooperation with all sectors in China as a representative of the economic sector in the early seventies.
The company started to develop from the commissioned processing trade of relays in 1980, and set up the first factory for producing healthcare equipments in Dalian in 1991--Omron (Dalian) Co. In 1994, as the first Japanese electronics manufacturing company, it was approved by the relevant national authorities to establish an investment company, OMRON (China) Co.
In 1996, OMRON constructed three control equipment manufacturing plants in Pudong, Shanghai.
