Which country has the most expensive medical training system

Hospitals in the U.S. are among the most expensive healthcare systems in the world. In 2011, hospitals in the U.S. spent a whopping $851 billion, or 31% of the nation's total healthcare costs. If all U.S. hospitals were a country, they would be the 16th largest economy in the world. Now, these U.S. hospitals are in the midst of dramatic changes due to Obama's health care reform plan.

One of the most dramatic changes right now is that large hospital companies are getting bigger. In one of a series of corporate mergers and acquisitions that have taken place recently, Tenet Health care (Tenet Health care) issued a statement on June 24 that it would acquire Vanguard Healt hSystems for $4.3 billion and assume its debt. The combined group will have 79 hospitals and 157 outpatient clinics.
