QC fluids, also known as quality controls, are standards that are used to simulate blood to test the performance of the meter.
Each bottle of test strips is labeled with a "QC range," which refers to a range within which the QC results will be measured.
If the test result is within this range, the instrument (test strip) meets the requirements. If the test result is outside the range, the instrument (paper) is faulty and can be taken to the dealer or after-sales service.
