What are the ports in the Pearl River Delta

(1) Guangzhou Port

Guangzhou Port is one of the fastest growing ports along the coast of China in 2008. Due to the global economic slowdown, RMB appreciation and China's foreign trade policy and industrial adjustment and other factors, the national ports of foreign trade containers encountered a cold wave, but the port of Guangzhou's foreign trade container transportation, but a stand-alone. 2008, the biggest highlight of the port of Guangzhou is from the feeder ports to the mainline container port transformation, modern and efficient ports to attract phoenixes, accelerating the transfer of the international logistics industry. Container throughput exceeded 10 million TEU, breaking into the world's top ten container ports, ranking seventh in the world. on May 5, 2008, Guangzhou Port Group was awarded the National May 1st Labor Award, the only enterprise in Guangzhou to receive this honor. 1. Guangzhou port entered the world's top ten container ports In 2008, Guangzhou port cargo throughput reached 347 million tons, container throughput of more than 11 million boxes, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year, to become the third mainland after Shanghai, Shenzhen port exceeded 10 million boxes of container ports, and entered the world's top ten container ports. In the first quarter of 2008, the containerized foreign trade of Guangzhou Port increased by 54%. Guangzhou Port started container transportation in 1978, and was one of the first three major ports in China to engage in container transportation at that time. At that time, container transportation mainly relied on general cargo liners, the national container throughput in 1978 was only 18,000 TEUs, while Guangzhou Port accounted for 0.3 million TEUs. Guangzhou port container throughput from the start to 1 million standard took 21 years, from 1 million TEU to 2 million TEU took 3 years, from 2 million TEU to 4 million TEU took 3 years, from 4 million TEU to 10 million TEU only took 3 years, every 3 years to achieve leapfrog growth, the speed of development is remarkable. In particular, Nansha port area opened only more than three years, the annual container throughput has exceeded 6 million TEUs, its development speed is second only to Shanghai Yangshan port area, Yangshan port area opened three years, the annual throughput has reached 8.22 million TEUs.

(2) Shenzhen Port

1. Shenzhen Port throughput has created the best record of the port Under the influence of the global financial crisis, Shenzhen Port, which is mainly engaged in the re-export of foreign trade, has endured a severe test. 2008, the cargo throughput of Shenzhen Port was 211,154,200 tons, an increase of 6.01% year-on-year, of which the throughput of foreign trade cargo was 161,998,600 tons, up 6.06%; container throughput was 2,141,000 tons, an increase of 6.06%; and the container throughput was 2,410,000 tons, an increase of 6.5% year-on-year. The volume of container throughput was 21,416,200 TEUs, an increase of 1.50%, a decrease of 12.76 percentage points over the previous year. The development of each port area is not balanced, only China Merchants Shekou port area of the three major port areas has a small increase in the volume of container volume, the reason is that the port area is actively expanding the Asian market and the distribution of the U.S. and European routes is relatively even, and the reason for the decline in the shares of Yantian International and Chiwan Harbor and Shipping Company is that the share of the U.S. and European routes is larger, and it is greatly affected by the financial crisis. According to statistics, China Merchants Shekou Port Area, Chiwan Port and Navigation Company, Yantian International Terminal completed 5,691,500, 5,912,600, 9,683,500 TEUs respectively, with year-on-year growth of 13.15%, -1.51%, and -3.32%; Dachan Bay Modern Port was put into operation in December, completing 859,000 TEUs. Domestic trade container business grew steadily, with the annual domestic trade container throughput of 969,000 TEUs, an increase of 6.18% year-on-year, of which China Merchants Port completed 920,000 TEUs and Yantian International completed 49,000 TEUs. The volume of imported TEUs and international transshipment containers increased greatly. The port completed 13,825,100 TEUs, of which imported 3,461,200 TEUs, an increase of 12.99%, and exported 10,363,800 TEUs; and completed 7,591,200 TEUs of empty containers, with the proportion of empty containers at 35.45%. The volume of international transit containers is about 3,912,500 TEUs, accounting for 18.27% of the total container throughput of the port, an increase of 5.22 percentage points over 2007.

2. The Shenzhen Port Master Plan passed the consideration of the municipal government On October 9, 2008, the Shenzhen Municipal Government's executive meeting considered and approved in principle the Shenzhen Port Master Plan. The newly planned coastline of Shenzhen Port is 66.9 kilometers long, which is twice as long as the current coastline of the port. The new plan has repositioned the functions and layout of the port, and will form a general pattern of "two wings", "six districts" and "three masters". The "two wings" refer to the eastern and western port groups; the "six districts" refer to the Yantian and Longgang port areas in the east, and the Nanshan, Dachanwan, Dachan Island and Bao'an port areas in the west; and the "three masters" refer to the container transportation as the main focus, reflecting Shenzhen port's development. The "three main" refers to the three main port areas of Yantian, Nanshan and Da Chan Bay, which focus on container transportation and reflect the core competitiveness of Shenzhen Port. 3. Shenzhen Qianhaiwan Bonded Port Area was approved by the State Council On October 18, 2008, the State Council formally approved the establishment of Shenzhen Qianhaiwan Bonded Port Area. Bonded port planning area of 3.71 square kilometers, the establishment of the bonded port area will play an important role in the sustained, rapid and healthy development of the Shenzhen port, to speed up in Hong Kong *** with the construction of a modern international shipping center and logistics center, to promote industrial cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong to achieve sustained development of the regional economy, has a very important strategic significance. 4. Shenzhen port infrastructure was further improved In December 2008, the Da Chan Bay Container Terminal (Phase I) Berth 3 was completed and put into trial operation. Shenzhen Customs and Shenzhen Da Chan Bay Terminal (Phase I) signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Shenzhen Customs and Shenzhen Customs to Promote the Development of Da Chan Bay Port Area", in which Shenzhen Customs will open up the port for customs clearance, land transit and other supervisory operations, which signifies that the Da Chan Bay Terminal will formally face the world to carry out full-scale business. The preparatory team of Da Chan Bay Customs has entered the terminal office, and has already started all container businesses such as empty containers, heavy containers, export, import transit, etc. In the future, Da Chan Bay Port Area will be able to provide the best service to the world. Da Chan Bay port area in the next 35 years will be built into an important port area in the western part of Shenzhen, becoming another world-class container terminal distribution center in Shenzhen.

(C) Shantou Port

In 2008, the GDP of Shantou reached 99.2 billion yuan, an increase of 9%; the total import and export of foreign trade amounted to 46.84 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.5%. The port's cargo throughput was 27.6 million tons, including 3.32 million tons of foreign trade throughput and 720,000 tons of container throughput. Shantou's advantage lies in the port, and the high standard construction of Shantou Port is one of the fundamental goals to build a modernized southeast coastal billion-ton port. Shantou Port is one of the 25 major coastal ports in China, and also one of the major ports in the key construction of 5 port groups, and has always been the sea gateway of eastern Guangdong, southwestern Fujian and southeastern Gan. According to the construction plan of Shantou Port, the shoreline of Shantou Port is 330 kilometers long, with 58.8 kilometers of port and port reserved shoreline, and 9 port areas are built. These include: Old Harbor Area, Zhu Chi Harbor Area, Guang Ao Harbor Area, Dine Harbor Area, Haimen Harbor Area, Tian Xin Harbor Area, Nan Ao Harbor Area, Rong Jiang Harbor Area, etc. The whole harbor is planned to be developed in about 10 years. It is planned that the throughput capacity of the whole port will reach 350 million tons and 18 million TEUs in about 10 years. Focusing on Shantou City's development strategy of "developing the city by port" and building a modern 100-million-ton port, the construction of two 50,000-ton wharf berths and 50,000-ton waterway in Guang'ao was completed by the end of 2008, and the construction of 50,000-ton petrochemical wharf and two 100,000-ton container berths in Guang'ao Harbor is underway and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2009; Thirdly, we are pressing ahead with the completion of the 300,000-ton crude oil wharf and the western breakwater project, and are striving for their inclusion in the national 11th Five-Year Plan. In accelerating the construction of the above projects, the construction of other port projects will be driven at the same time, including the completion of the preliminary work of the 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, the promotion of the construction of the 150,000-ton coal terminal of Huaneng Haimen Power Plant, the construction of the 70,000-ton coal terminal of Fung Sheng Haimen Power Plant, and the construction of the second-phase coal terminal of the Mashan Port Area, and so on. Shantou Port will complete important projects such as a 50,000-ton petrochemical terminal, two 50,000-ton container terminals and a 150,000-ton coal terminal of Haimen Power Plant in Guang'ao Port Area by 2011, with a cargo throughput capacity of 50 million tons and an annual container throughput capacity of more than 1.4 million TEU; and major projects such as a 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, a 100,000-ton LNG terminal and a coal transshipment base for Guangdong Province East in Guang'ao Port Area will be completed by 2016. By 2016, major projects such as the 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, 100,000-ton LNG terminal and the east Guangdong coal transshipment base will be completed, and the annual throughput capacity will reach 100 million tons and the annual container throughput capacity will reach more than 1.4 million TEUs. The long-term planning capacity of Guang'ao port area can reach 250 million tons of cargo and 16 million TEUs. The continuous improvement of port facilities will strengthen the status of Shantou Port as a regional shipping center and drive the rapid development of petrochemical, energy and port-related industries.

(4) Zhuhai Port

In 2008, the GDP of Zhuhai reached 99.2 billion yuan, an increase of 9%; the total import and export amounted to 46.84 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.5%, with the growth rate of exports and imports ranking the second in the Pearl River Delta; and the amount of actually utilized foreign capital was 1.14 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 11.0%. The port completed cargo throughput of 40.084 million tons, of which 12.905 million tons of foreign trade throughput, container throughput of 654,000 tons. 2008 November, Zhuhai Gaolan Port 50,000-ton container terminal trial run, opened the door to the world of Zhuhai's container transport. Zhuhai as a port city in the Pearl River Delta, the port is a vital advantage of resources, the existing high bar, Jiuzhou, Doumen and other 8 port areas, 96 completed berths, of which 10 berths above the 10,000-ton berths, berthing capacity in the long term can reach 300,000 tons. In recent years, by Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and even Zhanjiang and other Pearl River Delta port group "pincer attack", Zhuhai port development has been relatively lagging behind, the positioning is unclear. In this regard, the Zhuhai Municipal Government's work report in 2008 mentioned "establishing the city by the port" for the first time in the 28 years since the establishment of the Zhuhai Special Economic Zone, the development of the port economy has been mentioned as a high level of "establishment of the city". The Zhuhai government has clearly set out the goals of accelerating the construction of the port and the development of the port area: after three to five years of development, the port's throughput will reach more than 100 million tons, the container throughput will reach 3 to 5 million TEUs, and the industrial output value of the Gaolan Harbor Economic Zone will reach 100 to 150 billion yuan; and after eight to ten years of hard work, it will be built into a major hub port along the coast of the country. The port will take the road of differentiated operation, vigorously develop dry bulk cargo terminal, and strive to develop into a major dry bulk cargo distribution center in South China within 3 to 5 years.

(E) Huizhou Port

Huizhou Port International Container Terminal (HICT), the construction of which started at the end of 2008, is the first large-scale professional container terminal in the port and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2010. Huizhou Port International Container Terminal project is located in Huizhou Port Tsuen Wan port area, the construction scale for the two 50,000 tons and a 3,000-ton container berths (hydraulic structure according to the design of 100,000 tons), the total length of the shoreline of 800 meters, covers an area of about 600,000 square meters, the design annual throughput capacity of 1.2 million TEUs, the project's total investment of about 2 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, it will not only completely change the status quo of Huizhou Port which has no specialized and modernized container berths, but also become an important extension and a powerful supplement to the container port group in the eastern part of the Pearl River Delta, so that Huizhou Port will have a strong container transport capacity, which is of great significance for enhancing the competitiveness of Huizhou Port, upgrading the strategic position of Huizhou Port and promoting the economic and social development of Huizhou City. The construction of Huizhou Port International Container Terminal is only a beginning, the next step is also planned to introduce international energy giants, shipping giants, terminal operation giants *** with the investment in the construction of Huizhou Port, with 5 to 10 years, the port of Huizhou into an annual throughput of more than a hundred million tons, the output value of more than ten billion yuan of freight transportation, logistics, energy, in the integration of the "big carrier! The goal of this billion-ton port is to be a "big aircraft carrier". Around the goal of this billion tons of port, Huizhou port is recently launched a series of construction projects, in addition to container terminals, CNOOC Guangdong Huizhou port South China Sea Petrochemical Refinery Terminal project started, which the main terminal including a 300,000-ton crude oil receiving berths, as well as the construction of four 5,000-ton refined oil berths. With a total investment of RMB 1,063 million, the main purpose of the project is to meet the production needs of petrochemical enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region and to adapt to the requirements of large-scale crude oil transportation vessels. At the same time, Huizhou Port Coal Terminal Project is also planned to start in 2009, the project is determined to be located in Huizhou Port Tsuen Wan Port Area, west of Pure Island, the construction of the scale of three 70,000-ton coal berths, the length of the shoreline of 900 m. The project is divided into two phases of construction. The project is divided into two phases of construction, of which the first phase of construction of two 70,000-ton berths, the total investment estimate of 2.8 billion yuan, the design of the annual unloading capacity of 14.5 million tons of coal. The project is a large-scale professional coal terminal for public use by the whole society, based on Huizhou to build a coal distribution, storage and distribution base radiating to the east of Guangdong and Hunan-Ganzhou provinces, providing a reliable energy supply for the development of Huizhou and the neighboring areas.

(F) Humen Port

In 2008, Dongguan Humen Port started to put into operation, and the barge from Dongguan to Hong Kong has started to run, and the terminal will also develop the near-ocean routes, and in the future, it will open the routes to the U.S.A, India, the Mediterranean Sea, Africa, and the Southeast Asia. 2007, Dongguan's container volume amounted to 7.3 million TEU, and the import and export of the goods have always passed through the ports in the vicinity of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It will take some time to get used to the idea of switching to Humen Port. The terminal is providing barge services to enable enterprises to experience the customs clearance environment of the terminal. Whether a container is imported or exported through Hong Kong's ports or Humen Port, the difference in logistics costs in the middle is about 1,500 yuan. The cost saving for the enterprise will reach RMB 2,000 if it is in Shatin or Humen. Dongguan is the main place for trade with Taiwan, with the total number of Taiwan-funded enterprises accounting for about one-third of the province and about one-tenth of the mainland. As of 2008, the annual trade volume of containers with Taiwan was about 1 million TEUs. Dongguan has been listed as one of the terminals for direct cross-strait shipping, and it is very likely that these containers will be shipped directly from Dongguan in the future. In the new round of development in the Pearl River Delta (PRD), Dongguan is newly positioned as an emerging logistics city in the PRD, and Humen Port will differentiate itself from neighboring ports with five major features, such as comprehensive functions, integration, modernization, institutional innovation and differentiation, to create a modern integrated logistics demonstration base. Humen Port will have a complete range of ports for containers, bulk cargo, petrochemicals, automobile ro-ro, coal, etc., and will develop modern service industries such as global procurement, re-export trade, international distribution, e-commerce, service outsourcing, finance and insurance, port services, etc., so as to become an important carrier of Dongguan's modern logistics industry. The port will fully introduce the concept of supply chain management, rely on Dongguan's developed economy, do a good job in supporting Dongguan's manufacturing industry, strengthen cooperation and complementarity with towns and streets and enterprises, and realize the integration of the industrial chain and integrated development, so as to make the port of Humen an important node in Dongguan's industrial supply chain and a hub for the configuration of the port. At the same time, it will use developed information technology and advanced technology such as RFID to build an efficient logistics management network. The basic objectives of the modern integrated logistics demonstration base in Humen Port are: by 2010, six deep-water container berths will be completed, achieving a container throughput of about 1.5 million TEUs; the deep-water terminal in the Ma Chung operation area will be fully completed and in operation, and by then the throughput of bulk cargoes, such as coal and grains, will have exceeded 30 million tons; the throughput of petrochemicals will have reached 19 million tons, and a perfect road traffic network in the port will be realized with a complete supporting network and the commercial and trade functions of the central area will be highlighted. The center of the port has a prominent business function. Humen port put into operation after the impact on the Shenzhen port in the near future will not be obvious, but after a period of time, especially the terminal has the background of PSA International Port Group, part of the flow of Dongguan cargo will be gradually adjusted to the Shenzhen port, the impact of the port will gradually appear.

(VII) Chaozhou Port

Chaoshan City in recent years to focus on the implementation of the strategy of port city will have significant progress. In early 2009 will start the construction of the port Avenue and the Asia-Pacific Terminal is the construction of the port of Chaozhou two key projects, but also a fundamental project. Into the port Avenue is more than 13 kilometers long, according to the first-class highway two-way six-lane design, the investment estimate of 490 million yuan, Asia-Pacific General Terminal project planning and construction of the first phase of the 50,000-ton and 30,000-ton two berths, hydraulic foundation according to the 100,000-ton and 50,000-ton design and construction, the estimated investment of about 800 million yuan. The construction of the port access road and the Asia-Pacific General Terminal is of great significance for expanding the throughput of Chaozhou port, improving the influence of Chaozhou port on the outside world, and promoting the economic development of Chaozhou city. Chaozhou to give full play to the advantages of the port, proposed in Shenzhen Nanshan (Chaozhou) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park on the basis of the integration of the addition of Chaozhou Port Economic Development Zone and other two industrial parks, the establishment of the Shenzhen (Chaozhou) Industrial Transfer Industrial Park, the formation of "one park, three districts" pattern, is committed to the construction of a large scale in the eastern part of Guangdong Province, the benefit of a strong, widely radiating provincial-level demonstration model, We are committed to building the park into a large-scale, effective, powerful and widely radiating provincial-level demonstration industrial transfer park in the eastern part of Guangdong Province. The conditions of Chaozhou Port are first-class in the economic zone on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. It is well sheltered from the wind, with Nan'ao Island as a barrier in the south and Dongshan Island in the east, and the average annual operation time of the port area can be more than 335 days. Meanwhile, the water depth condition is also excellent, and the construction of large tonnage wharf, dredging of harbor pool and dredging of channel are small. In addition, the coastline is stable and far away from big rivers, and the geography along the coastline is of granite structure, so the sea water is clear all the year round. At present, Chaozhou Port is still in the early stage of development, still has a depth of 5 to 10 kilometers above the virgin land of more than 100 square kilometers, rich in land resources, can provide sufficient land to undertake industrial transfer.
