What are the categories of protective electrical equipment?

(1), Category 0. This type of equipment relies solely on basic insulation to protect against electric shock. There is no grounding terminal on the enclosure of Class 0 equipment or on the uncharged conductors inside. \x0d\ (2), Category 0 1. This type of equipment also relies on basic insulation to prevent electric shock; however, this equipment is equipped with a grounding (zero), terminal on the metal enclosure and is not provided with a power cord with a protective core. \x0d\ (3), Class I. This type of equipment relies on basic insulation in addition to an additional safety measure. there is no grounding terminal on the enclosure of Class I equipment, but there is an internal grounding terminal, and a power cord with a protective plug is drawn from within the equipment. \x0d\ (4), Class I. This equipment has double insulation and reinforced insulation for safety. \x0d\ (5), Class II. This equipment relies on ultra-low safety voltage power supply to prevent electric shock. \x0d\ Hand-held power tools do not have Class 0 and 0 I products, and commercially available products are basically Class II equipment. Most of the mobile electrical equipment is Class I products.
