What do you think is the reason for families not being allowed in the operating room ?
I think it's to protect the doctor as well as the patient, because the family is very close to the patient, and if they see the patient in particular pain, the family may get agitated for a moment and act irrationally.
One, in order to protect the patient
Because the environment in the operating room is in fact more narrow, the doctor and the nurses are each in their own way, the family if you go in, if you accidentally bump into some of the medical equipment, which will cause a lot of trouble for the patient's surgery. Even sometimes it will cause the surgery to fail.
And if the family members enter the ward, they may cause the patient's mood to fluctuate, which is unfavorable for the upcoming surgery.
And the surgery time in the hospital is usually fixed, if the surgery time is prolonged because of the family members, this will delay the surgery time of other patients. Some patients' surgeries are more urgent, and they may miss the best treatment time because of this, so it is better to keep family members out of the operating room.
Two, in order to protect the doctor
There are some family members who are more impatient, in some normal medical operation, the patient's body may appear hemorrhage and other emergency situations, this time the family inside the operating room not only does not have any help, but also because of the impatience of the emotions of the doctor to violence.
In addition, it is normal to find interns in hospitals, but many people are prejudiced against them, thinking that they are novices and may interfere with the operation, so they may complain or verbally attack these interns, and some of the interns who have high stress in their lives may be affected by this.
But in fact, every doctor started out as an intern, and we can't treat interns as beasts just because they aren't skilled enough in a particular skill.
Three, in order to protect the family
There are some family members who actually have bloodsickness, and letting the family members into the operating room, in case the family members fainted because it was too much blood, instead of more trouble.
And the scenes of the surgery are usually gory, so the family members may not be able to eat or experience other symptoms if they see it.
